PES 2015 Gameplay Preview Interview

Konami developer Tim Blair details the latest soccer offerings in Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2015 in this exclusive interview from Gamescom 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

This game always is better than FIFA.

cell9894276d ago

FIFA has more of an Arcade feel, while this one has more of a Simulation style, which makes it less repetitive and with way more play making possibilities. In FIFA you always see the same plays, same trajectories and the same outcomes, its not as organic. PES has always been about multiple possibilities under the same scenario, feels more natural. IMO of course

iceman064276d ago

While FIFA has gotten better with that, I still agree with you. FIFA seems a bit more scripted in possibilities. PES does seem a bit more random, for the most part. As you said, it is a bit more organic. IMO, the build up is probably the best part of PES.

@cell989

It's like you're talking about 7-8 years ago. PES glory days. It changed a lot. PES got repetitive to the bones.

metalmatters4274d ago

I agree, PES is just more dynamic than FIFA, with Fifa the ball always feels magnetized

hello124276d ago

Fifa plays nothing like soccer no middle field build up at all. I might wait for this and pick it up for a change.

iceman064276d ago

Wouldn't say it plays "nothing like soccer". But, it surely doesn't represent or even replicate the FULL experience of a match. FIFA reminds me of NHL...it's like break away soccer with very little build up. (especially through the midfield)

nfl4276d ago

Im only getting one and i am going to see the demo. I loved pes ps1/2 days. Went to fifa since 08. But i have been getting fed up with fifa 14. Im hoping this will be the one.

our_games_are_art4276d ago

Couldn't be any more excited for this game. I want the demo already!

What happens when you make good games, keep it up konami, you've been doing great. Please do a AAA Castlevania too, or heck just start off remaking/remastering old games to play it safe.

Alek83101d ago

Bought both Castlevania Advance Collection and the Dominus Collection. I would absolutely love to have all the GBA games as well, and of course Symphony of the Night.

What I would really love though, is a true next gen sequel to SotN.

Cacabunga76d ago

Not any games: SINGLE PLAYER GAMES!!!
I bought Silent Hill and MGS3!
Keep them coming, i will keep supporting!

nommers102d ago

Hoping for a new rumble roses someday

Scissorman102d ago

that's what happens when you make silent hill great again.

Inverno102d ago

Ironic. Also I guess the whole "fk Konami" phase is over now that they're selling remakes of already great games. People are easy to please, just rattle pretty graphics them.

gold_drake101d ago

i mean, silent hill f is a brand new game and it sold better then silent hill 2 remake.

franwex102d ago

Woah, making good games that people want to play pays off?
Someone tell Ubisoft and Square-enix!

badz149101d ago

SE make good games. WTF are you talking about?

franwex101d ago

I don’t mean final fantasy. I meant their OTHER games. Like their Babylon’s Fall, Avengers, etc. Don’t be coy.

RedDevils101d ago

You must be living under a rock if you put SE in the same category as Ubisoft.

Reaper22_101d ago

Well,, I think all publishers have made some good and bad games. Its a risky business.

Nice. Im glad they are doing that.

Vits170d ago

Very unlikely to happen, but I really wish they at least remastered Shattered Memories. From a story telling point, that is still my favourite title and I think it would fit really well as a VR game.

gold_drake170d ago

why is it very unlikely to happen?

2 and f sold really well. especially f

if they nail 1, then im all on board

on_line_forever170d ago

When I want to play silent hill game I always expect to get the same atmosphere I was see in SH 1 & 2 with deep and great story connect with silent hill city (not another city ) so if Konami want to continue release new games it should based on the success of these games.

In my opinion I think the game need :

- improve combat ( no more action just improve the combat and physics)
- another good and deep story
- improve creatures and enemies design
- add mysterious puzzles and it will be good if these puzzles connected with game story
- and of course Akira should involved in the project.
- create mysterious characters

gold_drake170d ago

good, cause .. i mean, after 2, it kinda goes downhill.
off the rails after 3 ha

Miraak82 169d ago

I kinda liked SH4:The Room .. it was kinda weird ... in a good way

BlaqMagiq1169d ago

We need a Silent Hill 3 Remake after 1

Looks like Mobile is still their bread and butter. But I'm glad they are at least diversifying finally...

CrimsonWing69192d ago

Isn’t that the case for most in the mobile gaming market?

cloganart192d ago

It's just saddening to see.

TheEroica192d ago

My god what I'd give for a new Castlevania game.... Still one of the coolest IPs in gaming.... I'd love to play a AAA Castlevania game that gets the god of war treatment.... Treat the whip like a character. Simon Belmont.... Dracula. Go.
