I thought I was losing it. Everything is working in my house except PSN. I checked the PSN page an hour ago and it was all green checks.
I just checked again, everything is red. Says they're doing maintenance.
It finally came back up but I must say that it's really unacceptable to not be able to play my games when it's down. Also I have gain a new appreciation for physical games. I know digital keeps growing and growing but the thing is you are paging for something you don't have complete control over and that's lame.
It has been over a year since ps+ expired and i only play SP games. I only got 1 month ps+ basic back when i had to do rdr2 online trophies.
I couldn’t care less and shows sp games will always FTW

Well i am locked out of my digital single player games because offline play wasn't activated and licences can't be verified. And i got no physical games. Gotta remember to activate that when it's back up.

I have several PS4 consoles in my house for various purposes, I'm screwed because I have such a large collection and I don't want to have redownload whenever I want to play a game. I want to fire it up, like going to a shelf, pulling a game off the shelf, putting it in the disc drive and off you go that fast. Can't do that with digital and limited HDD space. Installing a disc is faster, you don't have to worry about data caps and internet speeds, and storage space is really expensive. Xbox just allowed a 16TB HDD to be accessed by Xbox, but that 16TB is gonna cost you, even more if it's SSD, if those even exist yet.....
It is still down but if you go to settings -users and accounts- other - restore licenses i managed restore a license to a single player game. Back to replaying GOW Ragnarok.

I just tried, and it woke the console up out of sleep mode just fine, but it's stuck in a neverending attempt to actually connect. I've had my Portal for a bit over a month now and have absolutely loved it... but I just found my biggest dislike of this thing.

No it still needs to use you PlayStation account authentication to connect the two systems. Both ends need to be able to talk to PlayStation authentication servers to verify your identity prior to connection. It's a good thing I guess as you wouldn't want a unauthorised connection to your console
There's a alternative remote play app on the app store that allows it but it's not going to help you with the portal right now
Im able to connect using my PS Portal but all my games have the "License cannot be verified...." error.
And here I just dusted off my PS4 the past week after not touching it for over 3 years and now I can't even play an offline visual novel (World End Syndrome), lol

I went to Twitter to check up on progress for WEP and apparently it's on the backburner for the moment while the production team works on a spin-off that takes place in the same universe as WES. I did get the platinum trophy though. Now I'm working on Steins;Gate Elite which I should have gone through years ago because the anime adaptation is what got me into anime to begin with, lol.

@exterminator it was easier to stomach back then sure but at least there's still disc based games and games you have on your system will still load just fine unlike Xbox there's no check in to validate licences it just plays locally if it's not expired
