Michel Ancel, who is a co-founder of the studio currently working on WiLD for PS4, talked about how they want players to be able to play as any animal or creature in the game.

Former head of PlayStation WorldWide Studios Shu Yoshida has shed light on why Wild Sheep Studio and Ubisoft Paris' Wild was canceled.
Very shameful I hope ubisoft if they go bankrupt should get there servers and release the files online since by that time they'll be defunct
I was hyped for the game when they showed the first trailers, to bad it didnt make it.
That's the thing with Sony, they keep knocking out these 'running about' games. I thought Sony would've released Driveclub on PS5 with extra tracks and with VR. A new Motorstorm didn't surface on PS4 or even a Motorstorm collection as with Uncharted and God of War. Wild probably would've been a top game and the chances of Sony going back to it is probably never going to happen. The Getaway 3 was canned on PS3, although the first game was flawed and the sequel took a graphics downgrade and was tragic. Sony are clinically obsessed with this genre.

Former Ubisoft designer Michel Ancel has said the way his game Wild was handled was “a real scandal”.
I was so disappointed that this game died.
But Ancel himself isn't entirely clean....
He has an habit of not finishing games.
Man there's quite a long line forming of canceled/dormant 3rd party projects for PlayStation that never came out...
Agent
Deep Down
Wild
Little Devil Inside
Pragmata
Silent Hills
And I know there's more!
I was really stoked for this. I liked that giant Snake-lady god or whatever it was. It looked like it had some great art direction.
Joseph, Josh, Chris, and special guest Bella Blondeau discuss the recent Nintendo Direct, the PS5 showcase, and all things next-gen!
Sweet. The more i hear about the is game the more I am interested.
It's refreshing to see brand new ideas and risks taken by Sony. I am exciting for this game, day 1 purchase for me.
the moment this game was announced i was hyped to the limit. This hole wave of exploration games show IMO what video games can be and that is a look over our own horizon.
I'm with all you guys above. nuff said.
The trailer looked amazing, with the under water exploration and survival, but the concept and design scares me. A game the size of Europe, sounds remarkable, but I dont want another Skyrim situation with a huge game, and nothingness for miles upon miles, as far as interesting gameplay. I mean, what is the purpose of the game? luckily there's Multiplayer. With that said definitely my game of the show, thus far.
