Bayonetta 2 is Unforgettable

IGN - The sequel to the popular hack and slash game is brimming with thrills, action, and speed.

Shake yo thing, baby, oh yeah!

Yi-Long4294d ago

If it has an option for the original Japanese voices, I'll certainly consider buying a WiiU for it.

young7yang4294d ago

This is one of the few Japanese games that benefits from the English voice acting.

Dubaman4294d ago

Both Bayonetta 1 and 2 have dual audio

Yi-Long4294d ago

That's very good to hear. Will definitely consider buying a WiiU in the next 6 months orso...

I'm hoping Nintendo will reveal some cool new stuff these coming months ahead.

Big_Game_Hunters4294d ago (Edited 4294d ago )

This is going to be a God Tier action game.

Jag-T10004294d ago

Part 1 was awesome, cant wait for this!

WeAreLegion4294d ago

I have no doubts about the action. Just the story.

Big_Game_Hunters4294d ago

i pitty the man who plays platinum games for the story. When a game has flawless gameplay it doesn't need a story to be 10/10 or amazing. see Mario galaxy as an example. See DOTA2, see Zelda, see Shadow of the colossus.

slivery4294d ago

Those were some terrible examples, examples of games specifically well known for good stories. Zelda and Shadow of Colossus.. Really?

Big_Game_Hunters4294d ago (Edited 4294d ago )

@silvery i think you need to learn to read.

deafdani4294d ago

It's true that Bayonetta's story is a bunch of nonsense, but The Wonderful 101, on the other hand, has a superb story.

:)

Platinum USED to be Clover. They made Okami, Devil May Cry, and Viewtiful Joe. You know... Games with amazing gameplay AND stories. Why do they suck at telling stories now?

If I can get a great story and great action together, why settle for just great action? :/

It legitimately upsets me that such a great developer is now a shell of its former self. I'm all for great over-the-top action, but why try to tell a story if it's going to be a bad story?

They're hardly a "shell of their former self" just because their narrative chops aren't great. They seldom have been, actually. They only made Devil May Cry 1, which I think was before they were even Clover. That barely had a storyline at all (not that any DMC has ever had a great story). They also made God Hand, which had a very simplistic and shallow storyline. Same with Viewtiful Joe, although it is a bit more substantial than those. It's hardly all bright spots. Okami is the only one that I'd say had truly good story.

Bayonetta could have had a serviceable storyline. It had a bunch of interesting ideas, but the delivery was a confusing mess. The plot does make sense if you knew what everything meant, but the exposition was too vague and all over the place for the player to understand what was going on. Hopefully they've fixed the coherency with this sequel.

It's true, I haven't forgotten about it since it was announced. Looking so forward to this :D

Why Bayonetta 3 Is a Step Down From Its Predecessor

Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.

MadLad1251d ago (Edited 1251d ago )

Yet the Switch is much more powerful than the Wii U - the platform the second game released on. So you're just being negative to be negative with that comment.

anast1251d ago

The voice acting wasn't as good...

jBlakeeper1251d ago

Bayonetta herself doesn’t even look as good design wise.

-Foxtrot1251d ago

I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star

*Spoilers*

I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
