Making its way exclusively to Toys "R" Us this July, Eidos' upcoming platformer-puzzler Soul Bubbles has you taking on the role of a plucky lad tasked with drawing bubbles around lost souls and ferrying them to the gate to heaven. It's a fairly straightforward concept: Your character is armed with a stomachful of air, and you use the stylus to draw the breath out of this gust-maker in order to push along his bubble-encapsulated wards. Collectable twinkling stardust shows you the general path through each side-scrolling level, and along the way, you'll encounter environmental obstacles as well as some enemies.

After a long time of not giving any signs of life, it seems that the iPad and iPhone-version of Soul Bubbles are still alive and coming soon.

Pocket Gamer:
Remember Soul Bubbles on DS? Maybe you don't – it was a bit of a niche title, after all.
It was an extremely good niche title though, and one we gave an 8/10 Silver Award back in 2008.
The good news springing from GamesCom 2010 is that a conversion is being worked on for iPhone and iPad. In fact, Eurocenter’s port of the Mekensleep game is well into production and set for an October release.
