Any PS4 fans 'shocked' that someone would prefer PC version over PS4 version every single time both are available is even more delusional than an XBox One fan. Even when lazy devs (which Red are not) offer a completely straight port of a game, the PC version will offer higher resolution, anti-aliasing, and anisotropic filtering options.

The only reason you should be playing the PS4 version over the PC version is if your PC is weaker than the PS4 and can't run the game as well, or you don't have a gaming PC at all!

The title could easily have read "This Witcher 3 developer won't be playing on Xbox One". He will still be playing on PC though. Stupid article with obvious result!

I never understood if you are a PC gamer why would you play on a console? Mods add so much to games...when I PC gamed it was one of the best things about it.

I am definitely getting this on PC. I tend to play my RPG's more on PC anyway. I am sure all ports will be fine. These guys seem to be all about honoring every platform and every gamer.

I own the original Witcher and Witcher 2 on pc... I would love to get Witcher 3 on pc as well , but by the time the game comes out next year my pc will be about 4 years old and no friggin way will it do Witcher 3 justice ...so I am likely going to pick it up for PS4. I really hope it plays well on it .

This has nothing to do with them choosing a platform. This is them avoiding the same stuff that happened to Bungie. They supported Microsoft and the 360 last gen and after they saw what fans of Halo did to Bungie, they simply did the smart thing and boosted confidence in the Microsoft console to let fans know they are not abandoning them, rather than welcoming the PS fans.

Yeah, it's not surprising in any way whatsoever that these guys are going to play it on PC. They've been a PC gaming company since they began and they're one of the few companies left developing for PC first.

They have always been a PC developer, so no surprise there! Anyone with a PC powerful enough to run this beast of a game, should play it on PC! My PC has trouble running Witcher 2, and since I don't have any plans of shelling out for a new rig quite just yet, I'll be playing the PS4 version. I'll probably end up getting it for PC in the future anyway, at which point it'll most likely have dropped considerably in price on Steam :)

PS4 and X1 are very easy to port to and these guys are extremely talented so the game should be a great experience on all platforms. I'm thinking of getting the GTX 880 so I'll be playing the PC version but to be honest, I'd be quite happy to play it on my PS4 otherwise. PS4 and X1 are pretty evenly matched when it comes to games and therefore hardware determines the best console imo. Hardware wise, the best console is the one that gets closest to the PC in terms of power and that's the PS4. X1 probably has the better UI and online but the difference is that Sony can improve those aspects on PS4 and have done while MS cannot improve the hardware.

Never gonna complain at this especially as I havent played the PS5 version yet. Give me a Pro patch 😂😂
