When game companies Square and Enix merged in 2003, JRPG fans were on edge as to what masterpiece the new juggernaut was sure to make. They made a game. And now, 11 years later, they've brought it back. It's not the game you think it is.

Jason Dietz: "We reveal the past year's best and worst video game publishers (based on their 2025 releases) in the 16th edition of our annual Game Publisher Rankings."
But... but... the garbage-mongers always tell us that Square Enix is in trouble! 😂

Square Enix announced its financial results for the first nine months of the fiscal year, related to the period between April and December 2025.

3D Investment Partners, a major shareholder of Square Enix, issued a 112-page presentation criticizing the company's 'sluggish' revenue and profit margins.
Waaah waaah our profits aren't big enough! I mean, they're still growing and all, but we want it faster and NOW! Waaaah!
Released in May 2003 by Square Enix as "Square Enix" was Bakusou, Yankee Damashii.
I'm still hoping and praying that they can realize the potential still left in Secret of Mana. The original was a masterpiece. A new HD 2D multiplayer sequel could be amazing. The world could be way larger and the leveling could go further than before. It could have some type of procedural engine that made the layout of the world map and dungeons change up each playthrough to add to replay value. Kinda like Zelda 1 when you beat the game, but way more intricate and indepth in how it changes the layout of the map and enemies/bosses. It just needs to be revived, and done properly, not like the crappy sequels.
ok this re leasing thing is good but not good for ALL games, if they wanna remake anything, remake all the tony hawks games including undergrounds, and all the dragonball z games, and all the twisted metal games
saw the trailer, it has a good concept, who knows
Damn, I was thinking 'The Bouncer' for some reason, damn, I'd love a remake of that.
Revive 7th saga!!
