And other Warriors games have online co-op. Heck, even THE ONES THAT ARE AVAILABLE ON WII if I'm correct. Kinda weird if you ask me. It's even weirder when you know that a game like Bayonetta 2 will have an online co-op option, when this game fits better for a single player experience whereas a Dynasty Warriors would be cool with a multiplayer option.

Okay, fair enough point, so I'll make a compromise here:
If Hyrule Warriors sells big enough to justify an online multiplayer mode, you can count me in on the front lines with people asking Nintendo to patch the ability in.

It's not like I'm opposed to the idea, after all.

I expect the game to sell well, but it's going to take some impressive numbers for a petition to become effective.

@ metallox bayonetta 2 doesn't have online co-op, and I wouldn't rule hyrule warriors having something similar. They did confirm some sort of online play, its just not the story mode. But I think everyone should wait for the direct before jumping to conclusions. I know I'm dreaming but I hope it has a 5v5 MOBA mode

I was kind of mind blown when I first opened my Wii U.. I was like where is the ethernet port.. The Dreamcast for god sakes had one.

Sometimes I don't understand why Nintendo has to be so cheap in certain areas, everyone always talks about how they have billions sitting in the bank. Well invest that into your actual consoles so they have the same features consoles have had since 1998.

Luckily I have good wifi, but regardless it just isn't as reliable as a direct cable and I know many people struggle to keep a good wifi signal.

*goes back to playing TLOU Remastered* - unnecessary I think. And while it's a good game it's a remaster of a game that came out barely a year ago with very little done to it other than slightly better graphics.

I've always thought the 3DS has better everything in terms of functionality, the Wii U OS amazingly is slower than the 3DS's and on top of that lacks so many convenient little features that the 3DS OS has.

One example, just pressing the X button to close a game after pressing the home button, but nope not on the Wii U. Such a simple feature is not there and you are forced hit the close software button which makes it a longer process than it is on the 3DS.

I don't know how you go backwards on the OS and feature sets but they did.

I also completely agree that Super Mario 3D World should have had online co-op, main reason I didn't buy the game as I wanted to play it with others but I don't have people who can come by and sit at my house just to play a game.

No reason they can't add both or what about even people who prefer local co-op but their friends aren't there, wouldn't it be nice to have an online co-op mode for late nights or something by yourself so you can at least play with someone?

I'll never understand why so many act like online features are the devil when it comes to Nintendo's systems or aren't worth it.

According to this Iwata has full control of the company and thanks to him Nintendo will absolutely avoid putting their games on smartphones. Management at Nintendo is very unhappy about this. I don't agree with all of his choices for Nintendo like how he doesn't embrace the internet and online gaming just like you but it looks like he's a lot better for the company and the fans than you think.

Yeah I know they have been but most of them have been gimped down to crap. Look at Warriors Orochi 3, the online was horrible in the game. Your coop partner has to have beaten that stage first in order to play it with someone else online? REALLY? also look at DW7, before the corrected the problem with Xtreme Legends, Conquest online coop was crap and annoying. There is a chance they can patch in but highly doubt it. If Koei happens to release an Xtreme legends down the road. Then perhaps but for now. Whatever. The best online they have done for any DW game was the one that is hated mostly by fans and that is Strikeforce.

I know MK8 has it's moments, but Hyrule Warriors has hundreds of enemies on screen at once. It's kind of an unfair comparison.

But like I said, it was a passing thought. I'm unfamiliar with the Dynasty Warriors series, so, I didn't know it had om in the past.

Akr... the wiiu supports mesh and animation cloning which means you can load about 60 models and then clone them till the gpu starts to take a hit. Ati supports this feature and many use it. The servers could possibly be ran off dev kits also... they have way more ram. Almost every thing on the wiiu can be compressed anyway.
