
Simple opinion piece relating to classic games put under the Remaster or Reboot spotlight

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.

The one game that needs both would be resident evil remaster the early games and reboot the series.
Remasters are anti-consumer scams.
Reboots are new games.
Seems pretty obvious which is the best option, in every conceivable scenario.
If the game is a *true classic and no element of gameplay/story etc should be changed, then it's a Remaster. Note, Remasters should not be full retail price.. ever!!
If the game had some great ideas, concepts and was ok-ish, but maybe didn't quite hit the AAA, classic etc or maybe it was a game that was just a bit to big, ambitious or the tech wasn't powerful enough to fully realize the potential of the games concept etc... then it's a reboot.
