It was a good game (bit repetitive). I would give it a 7,5 or 8.

All those 9's and 10's reviews are exaggerated in their score.

One power would have made the game vastly better.

Because it was style over substance like Ryse was, no thought was put into the story.

Expectation is the leading cause of disappointment. I didn't expect it to be anything more than what it was, and I probably enjoyed it more because of that. If you don't want to be disappointed, try curbing your expectations. At the very least, make sure your expectations are realistic.

Second Son is the only Infamous I've played.
While I did enjoy the game (and it was very pretty to look at) I still dont understand the hype. It was very, very average. Repetitive gameplay, a dull lifeless city, poor side missions and short story.

There were positives ofcourse - the visuals, the voice acting, the simple but effective use of the DS4 features etc.

I'd probably play the next one in the series, but I think some of the hype was purely because there wasnt much else to be hyped about around that time.

I really liked it. Powers were great and actually influenced play style. It lack some of the more impressive story moments of 1 and 2, but had better acting and more character depth. It had less of the tooth grinding irritating bits from the others but suffered slightly from being a touch short. That's what happens with early gen games that have that much polish.

Great graphics but the gameplay brings it down, I would probably stick it just above watchdogs as the powers eye candy was more impressive than the visual effects of hacking and the character was less boring.

The Infamous games have always been good but never great. Each game had its own set of flaws that held it back. I would say that this is because Sucker Punch just isn't a top tier developer. Not to knock them for all the hard work but none of their games have been imo a must buy. All have been good but highly flawed games that while fun, shouldn't be on anyones game of the year lists.

How dare is he criticizing a PS4 exclusive. It runs at 1080p hence making it the best game he's ever played. Shame on him.

the only thing that disappoint me is the short story, cant wait for First Light though

My main gripe with the game is that it was over way too fast. An open world game campaign taking only 9 hours just doesn't feel right. The gameplay itself is polished but the story is obviously rushed, with each of the main conduits only having 2-3 missions related to them, hardly having any opportunity to show substantial character development.

I thought the game was good.. just too easy & kinda short.But I enjoyed it.. Cant wait for the DLC next month..

I enjoyed Infamous:SS as I did the others,all I need is 2 more trophies to have my first platinum but I don't feel like playing another time on expert...lol!

the game was entertaining, I would give it a 7/10 or 8/10. But to be "disappointed" is quite an overstatement.

Definitely prefer Cole and the first and second game but I still enjoyed second son and first light

Sony has so many great dominant IP's that they can bring back, such as Infamous, Socom, Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Siren, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rushy, Motorstorm, Wild Arms, Resistance, Wipeout, Alundra, Colony Wars, Cool Boarders, Knack, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud, Omega Boost, The Legend of Dragoon, G-Police, The Getaway and so on. Many of these games is what defines Playstation and sets them apart in previous generations.

I rather they focus on that, instead of Live Service games that's been so heavily invested now days.

They could also work with third parties developers to bring these franchises back like Parasite Eve, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, Dino Crisis, Ridge Racer, SSX, Tenchu, Jade Cocoon, Xenogears, Lunar Silver Star, Nightmare Creatures, Vagrant Story, Shadow Hearts, Driver, Breath of Fire, Tomba, Legend of Legaia, Okami..etc

I'm more of a new IP dude but infamous is one of the few series I want more of. Second son 2 where you play as delsin, fetch, and the video game guy (eugene I think?), Infamous 3 where cole comes back and maybe teams up with delsin against a new threat, A new game where maybe you pllay as another new protag who has to fight against an evil deslin who got messed up from absorbing too many powers and became some unstable super powered dude similar to the beast in infamous 2. Or just a whole new plot, characters and city. Series has a lot of potential

I doubt it but it would be welcomed or atleast the 3 games remastered for ps5 I know it'd look dope af

Problem with infamous is the morality system played into the endings in all the games so even though the player gets a choice for good of bad ending a sequel typically has to chose one of those endings to make cannon which may not align with players.

However I would love another one of these games they were all amazing

God I hope so. I’d be down with a new character, maybe in somewhere not in the US, like put it in London, Prague, Venice, somewhere iconic.
