A response to the backlash of outcries to "How Bethesda Butchered Fallout 3." With a shift on the game's perspective and gameplay, Fallout 3 will be fundamentally different from the first two iterations. What does this mean and what can be done?

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
Hopefully people that try defend that "change" that is being made to Fallout 3 on this thread will AT LEAST know what the hell they are talking about, know what is Fallout, know what is being done to Fallout 3 compared to the rest of the series an please for the love of God at least try to pretend to even slightly understand and not completely miss the point of what REAL Fallout fans...you know people that have actually played the games are commenting or complaining about before blindly attacking them
cuz last threads MASSIVE amount of clueless counter arguments and blatant bashing against the actual fans that have played the games was simply SAD and it only proved that you didn't have to be remotely familiarized with a game not even play it to defend a change you don't understand and tell the actual fans what they are suppose to think, want and feel -_-
and remember compared to the last article this one you HAVE to actually read the WHOLE thing and not just assume what it is about before attacking others :)
I think they're changing it in the same way they changed Oblivion. Oblivion, when compared to the other Elder Scrolls games, is actually a fairly casual RPG, and I feel Fallout 3 might be heading in the same direction. Because of this, I felt that Oblivion was a huge letdown, just not for those with no prior experience of the series.
I myself hope this isn't true, as I'm really starting to lose my patience with videogaming as it stands today. Now, even the most hardcore of games are opening up to embrace the casual player, which I feel is going to ruin gaming for everyone. If it's not a "casual" game, it's a 4-hour long campaign mode with tacked on multiplayer that "makes up for it". It's just ridiculous.
The more fallout the better BUT
this game is a radical departure from what the fallout series is!
As i said before You wouldnt call Final fantasy tactics FF13 and this should not be called fallout 3.
I picked up the fallout series re release at EB the other week, playing through brother hood of steel and fallout 2 again... good times!
I don't even see this as a true Fallout game anymore. And I have a very bad feeling this game is being dumbed down into another clickfest, just like Oblivion was. I remember when I first saw Resident Evil 4 back in the day and hated how they changed up the whole formula from the previous games. Then after playing it Capcom proved me wrong. I hope Bethesda proves me wrong with Fallout 3 but I'm not so sure they will.
Never played a Fallout game before i can see what you guys are saying. I have a friend who enjoys tactical rpg's (Jagged Alliance and the like) and he's played Fallout and he feels the same way. While i myself wouldn't have minded something different (basically keeping the isometric view and adding some other stuff onto fallout 3 using the consoles power). So i do agree with you guys there Fallout 3 could have been something radically different from whats out but i guess it went to mainstream.
I'm still looking forward to Fallout 3 though. Mostly because of the black humor, post nuclear fallout setting and lite rpg aspects to it. But i do see where you guys are coming from seeing as it went from a turn based tactical rpg to a fps/rpg hybrid.
