That wouldn't be a real surprise.

Blue Dragon, wasn't it said to be a trilogie from the start? So I guess BD2 will be here soonish.

Some new RPG IP's will come also. But what exactly... We'll know soon

heyheyhey6550d ago

they said there would be LO sequels too

green6550d ago

We should hopefully get some new info on Mistwalker's next JRPG for the 360 CRY ON.

Maverick_6550d ago

I still want to play Lost Odyssey. I never got the chance and I think it will be much better than Blue Dragon. I didn't like Blu Dragon at all.

1stKnighT6550d ago

With the Blue Dragon anime being such a success, I'm sure the sequal will sell better. Remember, FF didn't get popular till Part 3.

360 has had BIG FRANCHISES such as devil may cry,ng2 a few rpg's all in japan an not one of them in japan you could call a success sales wise and multi-plat devil may cry sold much more on ps3 than 360 in japan,360 is like flogging a dead horse in japan, its time to be realistic.

NG2 20,000 sold that is catastrophic numbers by any developers standards

look at mgs4 pre-orders alone for the CONSOLE bundle is over 500,000 in japan alone fact!thats not including the solus game sales pre-orders

if i were microsoft id concentrate on on the USA as thats really where their bread is buttered but it will be intersting to see how much closer ps3 will be to 360 after june 12th as everytime theres any mgs4 bundle it sells out within minutes.

microsoft should have used that wasted 50mil on getting mgs4 rather than dlc from gta because june 12th could be the day the console race really turned. and thats coming from a neutral gamer who likes a console race as we the gamers benefit

Mr_President_6550d ago

Final Fantasy was always popular. Thats why they made FFII, FFIII, FFIV, FFV, and so on and so on.

no your not for a start.

you talk like a constantly post negative comments about 360 when true 360 owners on this site will tell you i dont,i get alot of agrees from 360 owners because im neutral, and keep it real, your reply to my comment proves you cant argue against my points so you post fud like 'oh im making negative comments' no im being realistic but you carry on looking through your rose tinted glasses i just thank god you dont work for microsoft,a company needs to know when their making mistakes just like the comments ive posted about sony when their making mistakes does that make me a fanboy against sony to?

EDIT: GLAD TO BE A GAMER- what has killzone slipping,or cancelled getaway and 8days got to do with 360's failure in japan?pot kettle...because your making negative fanboy comments against ps3,i never made negative fanboy comments against 360 and by the way killzone slipping is a good thing because resistance 2 is out near the end of the year, just like gears of war is out around the same time which means both console owners have great gaming ahead from september

The gaming GOD6550d ago

It sure wasn't a success in Japan. And the American media doesn't even consider it a success in the U.S. because of the sales.

So can you explain what you mean by success?

Light Yagami6550d ago

The first Blue Dragon didn't do any good. It only sold about half a million copies, which is disappointing since it was hyped as a FF killer. Also, the game wasn' that good.

Obama6550d ago

Stop lying XD. The blue dragon anime is not a success.

The Lazy One6549d ago

Why should we all care how well they do in japan? Just because they won't sell well there doesn't mean I won't have a blast playing them here.

I hope lost odyssey gets a sequals the story is just brilliant!!

Maverick_6550d ago

Why so they acn all sale like crap? Doubt it. Not one RPG on 360 has sold well. Even Mass Effect could only sale 1.5 million. It's just the truth. Why put PRG's and JRPG's on a platform first that sale them like crap? I know most will be moved to PS3 after anyways but they all sale lke crap on 360. No RPG's have even broke a million except Mass Effect.

ericnellie6550d ago

I've got to disagree with you big time!! Just because a game dosen't sell over 1 million copies doesn't mean they didn't sell well or didn't make a profit. Most RPGs on the 360 have been selling fine.
Lost Odyessy sold over 700,000
Mass Effect sold over 1.9 million
Oblivion sold over 2.4 million
Blue Dragon a over 500,000
Those look like okay numbers to me;)

The only exclusive RPG for PS3 (Folklore) only sold 180,000
Oh and other than Oblivion, I can't think of a single PS3 RPG that sold over 1 million either.

Mr_President_6550d ago (Edited 6550d ago )

Folklore wasn't really an RPG. Good game but not an RPG. And you can't think of million seller rpgs on the PS3 because there are no rpg's on it outside of Oblivion (Enchanted Arms don't count). That drought FiNAllY ends in 2 months though.

PS3MAN856550d ago

You call a system being out for 2 years with not one single good exclusive RPG a drought? I call it sad!

Maverick_6550d ago

Sorry, I forgot about Oblivion...I was tlaking just about Exclusive RPG's. RPG's don't sale that well on the 360 and it's not a secret to anyone including Microsft. That's all I'm saying. I'll still play them... I don't see when not even one JRPG on the 360 has sold one million...how can they keep getting more? I dunno. Or why would they be getting more. There has to be an incentive to the publisher. These games don't sale well on the 360.

ChrisGTR16550d ago (Edited 6550d ago )

if they were on ps3 theyd sell nearly 1/2 as many just cause of install base. + 360 is easier and faster to develope for. thats why infinite undiscovery is being made for 360, and why ff14(?) is still in development for ps3 and wont come till 2009

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde23d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy23d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
