The Xbox One controller actually feels like a true successor to the original Xbox gamepad... Dunno what happened with the 360 controller heh, felt more generic.

I own both consoles and prefer the Dualshock 4. Something about the X1 controllers is weird I think it's the texture of the controller. The DS4 has a nice carbon fiber like grip texture on the back that makes it more comfortable IMO. The 360 controller is much better than the X1 controller.

The Xone controller is a true masterpiece. Its ahead of the 360 controller.

While Sony did a HUGE step forward with the DS4 the positions of the triggers are still the worst available, for shooters the triggers of the 360/ ONE controller are just better.

The rubbers of the DS4 triggers are also from middel quality they just rub off to fast but i heard that Sony replaces the controller if you get a model with this mistake.

Overall the ONE controller with its min. 24 hours battery life is the best choice for gamers. Get a play & charge kit for another 15 bucks and you dont need to replace the batteries.

The Xbox One controller is a step back in every way except the D-pad.

The handles are too short and that harsh edge leaves no comfortable place to rest your little fingers.

The control sticks are too small and are harsh on your thumbs. Games like Titanfall really make this evident, my thumbs got sore pretty quick.

The bumpers are difficult to press. It's obvious Microsoft wants you to rock your knuckle onto the bumper while keeping your finger on the trigger, but such a subtle movement isn't desirable in heated play, so you end up pushing the whole bumper with your finger, but it feels wrong. Imagine playing a Souls game with the Xbox One controller, light attacks would be uncomfortable. The buttons should assist, not resist play.

The triggers have this abrupt stopping point when you push them down, it feels like you're colliding with a rubber stopper, a nit pick on what are good triggers, though I prefer the feel of the 360 triggers.

Then there's the YXBA buttons. The only thing effecting them is the pointless sales gimmick of "closer together means faster inputs!".

Over all the Xbox One controller reduces the enjoyment.

I own both consoles the xbox one controller is very much better than Dualshock 4 ....at least its still work but the the L2 and R2 is broken now on Dualshock ..... and the left stick no more haae the rapper on it

At first I thought that the Xbone controller couldn't compare to the 360 one, but after I tried to play some Halo with the 360 controller I was convinced that the Xbone controller is the greatest of all time.

the only thing I hate about the Xbox One controller is that you still have to buy batteries, when Microsoft could of easily put in a rechargeable battery pack

Overall though I'd say the X-one controller made some awesome improvements, it feels more like the X-box S controller which is super awesome and the new vibration is sweet, my only complaint is the bumpers.

As for it in comparison to the DS4, both are fantastic controllers, both have pretty much no drawbacks and are dang sturdy. People on here are spreading lies about both so ignore them.

My favourite is currently the ds4. I use a 360 controller for PC and the xb1 design is a major step back in terms of ergonomics. Trying to touch the bumper buttons doesn't feel right compared to the 360 controller.

The way the ds4 feels in the hand is really awesome, buttons are accessible and feel satisfyingly snappy and responsive. Anolog sticks(advantage of 360 pad) are the best I've ever experienced with a pad and aiming in games such as wolfenstein and killzone is really accurate. The touch pad is also precise and the dpad is even better than before.

I just need to spend time to find a good ds4 PC drivers so I can play games that require a precise dpad properly.

I absolutely love the Xbox One controller.. It's probably the sole reason I want the X1.. Comfort means a lot to me when gaming. . And, the X1controller provides that it spades. I feels as though the controller was made for my hands alone. They also improved their D-Pad, which was the only flaw on the 360 controller. The Xbox One controller is perfect for me.

The subtle improvement are not appreciated on the x1 controller because the 360 controller wasn't easy to improve on compared to the dual shock 3 which needed a lot of improvements. This is why the improvement are noticeable on DS4 compared to the X1

the ps4 controller is nice. Its big tho forsure, but comfortable. I like the 360 controller, I have tried the x1 controller and it does feel great. Both controllers are awsome

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau

Could? Strange how prices rise for virtually everything we buy, yet when things settle down, prices don't come down. This has been happening in the UK probably before I was born. With that, how much is a next gen console going to cost? Look at the price of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which has been a flop for Sony. On that note, we don't need the next consoles for another 5 years.

I guarantee if people just stopped buying this kinda stuff all together. This would all be sorted within 2 weeks and everything would be back to normal.

We seen the exact same thing through the COVID period. Companies just jumped on the bandwagon realising that they can get away with charging far more under false pretences and fear mongering.

Consumers now have this fear of "you know what, I only live once. I'm going to spend all this money I earned through my hard work" Or "I only live once I'm going to take a loan out and enjoy my time here".

Silicone Valley spends literally billions of dollars researching how much they can push society to the limits to increase spending. You can research it yourself. There's published written documentation about it. Have a look for yourself into their group research into subscription programs to see how evil they are and why it's such a giant focus of current civilization. Its the very essence of corporate capitalism.

Just delay all new consoles. I could easily go another 5 years with my base PS5.
