"There are plenty of survival games where you are one of the few survivors of the apocalypse. In fact, these types of games seem to be growing like weeds nowadays. Every once in a while, one manages to bring a zombie survival game that has essentially the same goal but plays completely different. This is where Over 9000 Zombies from Loren Lemcke comes in. In Over 9000 Zombies you will need to blast your way through hordes of zombies in top-down arcade-like graphics and build defensive walls and turrets in order to save yourself. Just remember, you will die in the end."

Contributor Shane Viernum pens "It is truly a classic top-down shoot-em-up as it intended to be. The few faults I could find in the game were easily overcome by the intensity, intuitive controls, and scaling difficulty of each subsequent night."

"Blasty, blasty, shooty, shooty goodness, but bring a friend: Over 9000 Zombies! is a fun shooter which is much, much better in co-op"

TwoDashStash: "Over 9000 Zombies! is a top-down-shoot ‘em-up with an 8bit aesthetic. It is ultra-violent as the player can rack up tens of thousands of kills in one match. This, together with the music and the feedback from firing weapons makes the game incredibly satisfying to play. However, it is plagued by desynch issues, meaning that playing online with friends is almost impossible."
