Well, Watch Dogs was one of the most awaited games of the last years, and on top of that the PS4 is more popular, so I wouldn't be that surprised.

Watch Dogs, a game available on five different platforms only outsold Wii U's most important exclusive by a few thousand. And Wii U's decline from last week to this week is hardly even significant. Once again, all current generation systems are outselling their previous generation counterparts. Also seeing a 55% increase on Vita is awesome. :)

edit: Just double checked and it's just the PS4 version of Watch Dogs. My bad. WD did just come out in Japan and I heard it was doing pretty well over there.

@below Yup, just corrected myself. Watch Dogs did have a lot of hype around it and the new region release would definitely help boost its sales. It's not too shocking to me to be honest. I'd be more shocked if Mario Kart was selling way below the numbers, but the difference isn't too big.

@SilentNegotiator. You have been wrong about Wii U sales since MK8 launched. Wii U is selling miles better than before MK8 launched and will continue to do so.

Wii U sales were UP 11% last week in the USA according to vgchartz so go spin that.

They've been fairly neck and neck going off of VGChartz, except the first week, in which Ps4 had 20K over Xbone. PS4 seems to have taken June in US, too.

NPD is going to be a shell shock for some people.

US PS4 numbers (up until the 28th June):

US X1 numbers (up until the 28th June):

Even if you add on the week ending 5th of July, you get:

PS4 - 201.905k

X1 - 183.251k

But we all know VGC is garbage anyway, PS4 likely sold much more, which will be apparent when we get the NPD numbers, as always. Then we have the upcoming PS4 bundles (Destiny, TLOUR, DriveClub), the PS4 ain't giving up that top spot any time soon, not even with the X1 matching it in price.

Well 3DS is a nice cheap piece of hardware among newer, more expensive ones with a lot of games to play on it. I got one just for Dream Team, Luigi's Mansion, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and a few other titles.

It will probably be like this awhile longer till PS4 gets games the Japanese actually want. But there will be another 3DS spike when Smash bros and, Pokemon hit so 3DS could very well stay top for quite awhile.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
