Mike from Mii-gamer:
While we only know of one mode – Splatoon promises to offer more game modes from what we saw at E3. Nintendo can make Splatoon a surprise hit, but it must have these multiplayer modes - for the competitive community to embrace the game.

Nintendo has recently restored Wii U Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon online after five months of being offline.

Game Rant Writes "Mar10 Day is a fun yearly celebration of the Super Mario series, and Splatoon may warrant a fan-designated day of celebration in its own right."

How, exactly, did Splatoon reach heights rivalled only by Pokémon in Japan? New IPs from the House of Mario appear as often as shiny Pocket Monsters, yet typically move comparatively mediocre numbers or fall into relative obscurity behind the premium marques of Mario, Animal Crossing, Zelda, and Pokémon. Take Pikmin and ARMS, for example, which we adore but struggle to compete with the tentpole franchises when it comes to sales numbers or mainstream mindshare.
So, again, how has Splatoon risen to become one of Nintendo's most important series in Japan?
That screenshot looks fun as heck. The level design looks well done!
Yeah lets take this inovattive shooter and make it just like everyother shooter... (sarcasim). This game has a completely new concepts I would hope they don't sell out to the COD crowd. If the gameplay is the same as others it will surely fail in comparison. In alternative how about:
Cleanup: where the maps come pre painted in a nutural ink and each team uses water cannons to blast as mutch clean like mario sunshine with a timer.
Seaker: where 4 players hunt a invisible player who can only be seen via ink footprints.
What I think
Territory Mode - Confirmed
Capture The Flag
Team Deathmatch - K/D
Free For All - Territory Mode
Survival - Last squid standing
Search & Destroy
Conquest - Spray the Flag - change it color matching your team
Hero Mode - similar to Goldeneye 007
I hate crap like this. People always talking about what a game should have and how it should be made. That is what makes games stale. Always asking for stuff that generally amounts to copying what everyone else is doing.
This game is an original looking idea, so I would hope that it has original game modes to go with. I don't won't typical staples that you see everywhere in everything. That would just make this game another generic shooter with a different coast of paint.
I hope none of what the above posted is what they do, and instead that they make a bunch of completely new and intuitive gameplay modes to show that there is more that can be done with the genre like I'm used to seeing from Nintendo.
