Missing feature will magically pop up for $5.99

LOL

What absolute bullshit

I don't see how Toddlers and Pools are so hard to do with their "new technology". These are such small things, it's not like having a massive open world game or having a ton of destructible environments etc.

It comes off as one or two things

1) They are lazy and can't be arsed to push themselves to work hard. So they are going to go at their own slow pace and will add them when they are ready...meaning in future expansion packs we'll have to pay for.

or

2) They were told to cut them out by EA so they'll have something to add into smaller expansion packs alongside the bigger ones. More packs...more money.

Honestly guys, keep complaining they'll eventually crack. This is obviously bullshit since these are the same people who told us getting rid of DRM in Sims City was "impossible".

Even if it were complicated, which I just can't believe is the case, this is the Sims, not some upstart franchise and is worth a bit of effort.

Sure, DLC may not be "made prior to release", but it is planned. Everyone got upset (rightly so) about DLC being produced before release, but to get around that, EA, Ubi, etc. just slice it up before then "work on it later". Bunch of bullshit.

I really don't mind DLC, but I absolutely hate playing the release version of a game where you can tell things had been left out for DLC.

I don't buy this excuse for one second. After all The Sims has been a DLC cow for a while now.

"Even if it were complicated, which I just can't believe is the case, this is the Sims, not some upstart franchise and is worth a bit of effort."

Exactly, they are trying to make out this is some high end AAA brand new IP when it's the bloody Sims.

The only thing they've really made a big deal over with the Sims 4, the feature which they make out if a game changer is...emotions. I mean really...that's not something to brag about. It seems like such a minor improvment, especially when it looks roughly the same as the Sims 3.

These are the guys who can't even do a direct console port, they always have to dumb it down and make it totally different from the PC version.

No way am I picking this one up. Screw EA. Screw Maxis. They know exactly what they're doing.

Did a toddler write this article? It's horrible!

DLC for Sims 3 is still $19.99 and $29.99. And most of the crap dlc is 4-5 extra pieces of furniture or clothing. It's stupid ridiculous, and a ripoff. They even dlc the weather system, which should be freaking free. I don't buy Maxis games anymore, but the stupid casual audience will be suckered again.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
