Oculus Rift Support Confirmed for Tree Simulator 2013: Treeloaded

VRFocus - In the space of the past few weeks a number of slapstick titles dubbed ‘simulator’ have revealed support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. First came Grass Simulator 2014 at the end of June 2014, followed by Rock Simulator 2014 at the start of July. Last week also saw the reveal of the amusing Alien Makeout Simulator. Yet another title has now joined their ranks; Tree Simulator 2013: Treeloaded.

In my day, we simulated airplanes, railroads, amusement parks, airports, zoos, and we liked it!

These days Trees, Rocks, Goats... This is what it's come to? :P

Exactly: Railrtoad, Rollercoaster,Ski Resort, Golf, hotel, casino, airport....random stuff like that is what used to be simulated.

* It used to be: " I wonder what it would be like to simulate ______________" & then said game would be created.

Pretty sure nobody wants to simulate a tree unless your doing Yoga or meditating, in which case, either or would benefit you much more than a simulation game.

* All this shows is that people are dumb and will be suckered into spending money on anything. People like this benefit from that.

I've decided to work on a new project called "Darkness Simulator"

Who wants to join me in getting a kickstarter going?

Magicite4336d ago

This is just the beginning, my friend.

this has to stop its now just a bandwagon of "OMG LOL SO FUNNY!' crap

LightDiego4336d ago

I don't know what is more funny, these developers thinking they are clever or people who buy that.

Mr_Danski4336d ago (Edited 4336d ago )

So, so many ridiculous simulation games. So many.

Who even buys this stuff?!

jnemesh4336d ago

Enough of this stupid trend...Tree Simulator? Really? Saw "Rock Simulator" the other day too...this has to be the worst trend in gaming I have ever seen.

This is why indies aren't taken seriously by non-core gaming community (AKA casuals, mass market etc.)

That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.

Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.

But it's EA. They don't think.

Babadook71105d ago

I agree. It would sell better on PSVR2 right now.

Knushwood Butt1105d ago (Edited 1105d ago )

A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?

Abnor_Mal1105d ago

Not into F1 racing, but still a missed opportunity.

ApocalypseShadow1105d ago

That's where opportunity presents itself that they could offer something else that other developers haven't offered yet. Yeah. There's No Man's Sky. But a space game with a story would be great. Like the old days with Colony Wars.

Abnor_Mal1105d ago

Exactly, they could have possibly lured more players just from the inclusion of a vr mode.

I miss Colony wars and G-Police, Low-Fi I hope will scratch that itch when it releases. We also need a vr War/Starhawk game.

Knushwood Butt1105d ago

Just watched the trailer of Low-Fi. Most definitely on my radar.
