I think in a few years iOS and Android gaming could resemble console games. They dont lack graphical capabilities, just budgets and depth.

Agreed. Especially as these platforms move to TV.

The mobile RPG's tend to be dreadfully bad, other than some of the classic RPG remakes, which is sad because a RPG just needs better story-telling and doesn't need as much focus on other areas. Time-travel RPG's were so popular when they became a thing on mobiles and man they made me cringe.

My favorite mobile company so far is Kairosoft. I love Game Dev Story, Grand Prix Story, and Ninja Village. Dungeon Village looks really interesting because you kind of help a town rise to glory and manage RPG-fashion adventurers with quests to bring your town glory and gold. I'm too busy with Steam games at the moment to spend money on mobile games though.

Kairosoft are brilliant developers. They make games based on what people want and are great at modernising classic concepts from the 90s such as managing a city or a tower block. Wish more companies were like them.

If any turn-based strategy game deserved to be on 3DS it's this one.

yes! I will definitely be getting this one. I've been hoping that this game would see the light of day.

chrish19903870d ago

Surprised it's getting a physical release to be honest. Something of a rarity these days on the Vita...

gokuking3868d ago

Not at all a rarity in Asia, which is the region this game is getting a physical release in.

chrish19903868d ago

Good point, actually. I don't really know much about Asian's buying habits, I naively assumed the situation was the same all around.

Skate-AK3869d ago

Surprised this is coming out to be honest. Simply because the website I saw post it had posted another Vita rumor involveing Resident Evil that turned out to be not true.

Panzerkanzler3869d ago

I played the original game and disliked it severely. It might be fun for someone who has never played a proper civ game but if you HAVE done that then CivRev offers nothing IMHO.

SteamPowered3869d ago

I felt it was a great Civ game for console. I don't know how you could do Civ 4 or 5 on a console, so this was a great way to garner new fans of the series. I think a lot would be lost in translation if you tried to make a straight PC port.

Sounds good to me. Itching to try out Civon the go.
