I actually loved the game. Never had a chance to play it much, played only on a friends Xb1. Wish it was for ps4, would have helped hype and longevity i think overall.

Titanfall didn't fail, it just didn't live up to the impossible expectations everybody piled on to it.

The way people were talking about it they were expecting it to pull in CoD numbers whilst only being on one console and being a new IP, it was NEVER going to do that.

Now that Titanfall has established itself, it'll fair much better with the sequel.

COD is taking the cool stuff from TF and building on it...

Don't know where these people keep getting the idea that this game is dead. I play it every other day for a few hourse and never have a problem getting into games. it literally takes two seconds sometimes annoyingly quick cause i start it up then try to fix my classes or check to see how I am doing towards hitting the next gen and I am already in a game at least on x1 dont know about pc though
side note: game did not fail it almost has a 50% attach rate to the x1 problem is the game came out too early in the console cycle and with the new mode and other modes coming later for free this game will keep picking up especially with the new sku and more people getting x1 because of it

Uh, this game still has a huge crowd, and all you have to do is look at the fact that it's STILL selling VERY well as the X1 version is still the 15th best selling game on the market. If you join the lobbies it's an even cross section of 10s, all the way down to first-gens and everywhere in-between. Not really sure where this "no one is playing it anymore" myth has come from, all the facts say the opposite.

I played the crap out of it till I maxed gen 10 and got all the achievements...I spent about 150 or so hours on it, then figured I needed to catch up on other games like Watch Dogs, Murdered, inFamous, and a few others...I just recently went back to it and forgot how much of an amazing game it is. It's EASILY my favorite MP out there, and the complaints against it are petty IMO. People try to say that there isn't enough customization or that there isn't enough guns...really that's kinda shallow IMO...it has a gun and attachment for every needed situation (almost everyone uses the same thing anyway...and let's not pretend that doesn't happen on EVERY MP game once people find out what the best kits are). That sounds more like an excuse to me. Sounds like people are still trying to find excuses to kill the hype. Will this be followed by an article about why inFamous fell? Seeing as it's sales came to s screeching halt and that you only have Smoke, Neon, TV, and Concrete (at the VERY end) to choose as weapons, and the only customizing you can do is change a jacket? (I rocked the X-Bone)

@slutface EA/Respawn didn't underestimate anyone, they gave Sony a chance, and Sony underestimated the game and said no...they wanted to make it a Vita game. Other than that, according to Respawn, Sony also doesn't have a network at the moment that can support TF...so any underestimation was on Sony's side, not EA.

For me more than anything it's the bots! After a while it takes the competitiveness out of it. It's fun at first but doesn't have that competitive nature of true pvp multiplayer. I'd still buy the next one hoping they'd somehow improve on that. But I haven't played since the first month.

I still regularly play it and every game fills up fast. Dunno if that really means people are playing it, but it seems so. Still awesome.

I'm not interested in Titanfall, but I think we need more games like it, games that will force Activision to improve CoD. I'm not interested in CoD either but I still want it to be a better game. I'm pretty sure they kept using the same engine over and over and reusing assets etc. This is just greedy, your game sells like crazy, pump some damn cash back into it and make it something special.

It fell way below expectations and resolution for what people were expecting from MS new console.

Lol...4 months later ppl still love to hate this game. I play on Xb1 daily and I have no problem finding matches and it doesn't take forever. It's natural for a game to lose some players especially after new games come out. That doesn't mean that it's a failure. Look at the sales. It been in the top ten forever and just recently feel out of it. I play newbies all the time. In no way is this game dead or a failure.

I love the game bought the dlc and still play today.i do wish there were more guns and attachments but some May like the balance.

Without a campaign there is no character development. If there is no character to care about why care about the game? That in my opinion is Titan falls biggest problem.

as someone who was put off by the massive amount of mouth frothing fanboy hyping machine that was this game i still gave it a shot.

Played on PC during the free week-end. The game from the opening is impressive, I love the start of the mission when you rush to get your position. I love the part where you have to be sneaky and creative to get the upper hand. Love the jumping on the mech.
The game has its moment but overall it was way too chaotic and map were way too small. after about 20 games i was already bored.

So content and game modes were lacking but it has strong basis.

I truly am shocked if TF is doing "bad"?

Most people respect Respawn for trying and so do I but lets be real the game sucks. It's basically a $60 beta. I'm glad Sony didn't support it. Hopefully the next game is better.

This game is far from dead. Its still selling. Its still getting updates. Its still full of players in the lobby. Some people just really want this game to fail for some reason.

I mean, they kinda dropped the ball on this as far as stealing the cod players. The timing was perfect as cod ghosts was just pure doodoo! I put all my chips on Titanfall to save me but the bots man, the bots! I went back to playing black ops 2 on the wii u and am having the time of my life! Sure blops2 has its issues (quick scopers, target finders, hit detection ect.) But it is fun and still competitive!

Him saying that Titanfall fell off based off of long matchmaking is HIGHLY HIGHLY innaccurate and bad journalism considering that there are multiple servers for the United States and you connect to whichever you are the closest to. The West coast server I'm on is absolutely thriving and takes seconds to find a match and i play on a daily basis.

It will only get worse considering Destiny comes out pretty soon and then a few months later the Master Chief collection does as well. Those games will only take away more players.

lol knew this would happen months before its release, thats why I never cared of this game coming to the PS4, the mechanic of the gameplay was destined to bore you in a few hours max, and with no SP I knew even more that game would be boring as hell.

I think that it got old fast because is way easy to get max lvl and theres not that much to unlock or customize. Also theres really now learning the "best" places on the map since everybody can get to anywhere in the map. Thats why it got old fast.

Titanfall is like a Big Mac. It's amazing for a short period of time but ultimately you end up hungry for something more substantial.

WTF dude is talking about?!! I get in games and at least (I say 20% of the time) you won't be in a full game. Other than that, the rooms be full. And Regeneration Challenges are a bitch because you have to use certain weapons with a certain amount to kills to level up to the next level.

Statistically speaking, the game has had more staying power than most of the games released on either console.

It was those super bots that were only possible with the Power of the cloud. Then lack of options. TF2 has a lot of promise, but TF1 falls short.

Why did it fail? Simple, it was overhyped. Every other article in the few weeks prior to launch was about how "revolutionary" this game was...how it was going to put the Xbox One back on the map, how it was going to show us the future with "The Power of the Cloud" (TM)!

When it came out for the X1, and people saw that it had essentially last gen graphics, and couldn't even render THOSE at more than 782p, saw that it had screen tearing issues, saw that the frame rate often drags into the TEENS, and saw that, worst of all, it had limited content and repetitive play...then word of mouth got out...and once that happened, no one wanted this game.

I expect the same thing to happen to Sunset Overdrive. Too much hype on ANY game will get backlash! If you set gamers expectations too high, then all you are doing is setting up EVERYONE for disappointment when the game doesn't live up to the hype!

Personally speaking Titanfall is great for a short fix that maintains the desire to revisit once in a while. It's not the complete package in comparison to competing FPS series yet it definitely delivers a & arguably fresh experience.

I knew titanfall would fail... I think it looks awesome, and I wanna play it for sure, but the game modes just stink!

Same reason MMO's in competition with WoW fell. You can't beat the competition by doing the same thing, especially with less money and less content.
