Wow. Best looking Vita game?

kingdom184344d ago

One that we will very likely never see, sadly.

DiscoKid4344d ago

What makes you think that? The graphics don't look too expensive for a Vita game. All I see is some bloom and rimlight, and even mobile phones can handle that.

muttsurini4344d ago (Edited 4344d ago )

No mobile phone can handle a mmorpg like the vita does, the one closer to this is avabel but it looks too cheap.

TM3334344d ago

It's a crime that PSO2 isn't in the US. Sega is INSANE for not taking our $.

hkgamer4344d ago

It is quite stupid that they didn't really release this game over here. But considering the server costs and the F2P competition it would be tough. It's a very japanese style multiplayer game and in western territories these games would be compared to wow and other mmorpg's.

This game however being an actual retail game would be the safer bet and have a better chance of coming out over here.

TM3334344d ago

I agree 100% and would gladly pay retail for PSO2 and PSNova. Sega, I hope you're listening (hint hint).

AfterThought4344d ago

Ugh I hate even watching this after the crap we have to deal with when it comes to Sega. You can release all these other games that barely ever sell much in NA but then you don't release one the most anticipated Sega games that people have been begging on their knees for..?

It is free-to-play also so I have no idea what is going through their heads, it is as simple as releasing it here and watching more money roll in. It is even more disgusting seeing them release an english SEA version... when the NA version was announced years ago.

I been waiting for this game so long, I am completely losing any interest and by the time they release it, 3 will be out probably..

I mean ffs the NA PSO2 site hasn't been updated in 2 years, just completely insulting to any NA fans but nothing new with Sega I guess.

Dewitt4344d ago (Edited 4344d ago )

I want this over any other eastern vita title except FF type 0. Tri - Ace plus Phantasy Star, you better westernize this.

hkgamer4344d ago

It's a shame that the F2P version didnt come out in western territories was waiting for that game for a while.

This game looks great and I'm glad that they are making this game with a single player focus. let's hope they can make this game come out over here.

Excited about this game and Digimon. hopefully they will make Type-0 for vita as well as PS4 and Xbone. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

10 PlayStation Vita Software Missed Opportunities

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Many would argue – and I wouldn’t really disagree – that the PlayStation Vita never really had a killer app. There wasn’t that one piece of software that helped change the console’s fortunes. The closest we got was arguably Persona 4 Golden, an early release that received huge critical acclaim, but it was part of a niche series and as such its sales impact from a hardware perspective was muted.

There were missed opportunities along the way, as certain titles had the potential to change the Vita’s fortunes, but the way the final product was delivered (if indeed it was delivered at all) left a lot to be desired and so they didn’t reach their full potential. It’s these games I’m aiming to look at this in this article – 10 games that were missed opportunities on Vita. I’m not saying that every release I’ll be talking out here had the potential to be a “killer app”, but if they had been executed a little better they would have undoubtedly been a key factor in helping the console reach a wider audience."

Still thinking about the that last of us 2 multiplayer missed opportunity

isarai2427d ago

My soul still aches over the idea of making 3D Dot Game Heroes a Vita series never happening after the dev studio expressed interest in doing so. Could've been a flagship for it, or at least carried it a bit further.

Abcdefeg2427d ago

The vita contributed to the ps3 having less support from Japanese devs. I hope sony keep focusing on one console at time like they are now in the future

What do you need to know about Phantasy Star?

Man, Phantasy Star can be confusing. There are so many different kinds of games in this series, but they all get tossed under the same umbrella. The oldest games are turn-based RPGs. The newer ones vary between MMOs and action-RPGs. Wouldn’t it be nice if things were simplified...

Phantasy Star online episode 1 and 2 is one my all time favorites. Just make that better...

ApocalypseShadow3104d ago

What I need to know is when is Sega going to make and release Phantasy Star 5. All I need to know.

SegaGamer3103d ago

Even if they did, then i doubt it would be released outside of Asia. We haven't had a Phantasy Star game since Phantasy Star Portable 2, and that was 7 years ago !

I don't know why, but Sega seem's to have abandoned the west when it comes to Phantasy Star.

ApocalypseShadow3103d ago (Edited 3103d ago )

Pretty much. You would think that sequels to some of their franchises or remasters of games like Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Headhunter, Virtual On online, Jet Set Radio, etc would make them some easy cash as digital titles. Even VR titles of Virtual Cop, HofTD or even something crazy like Crazy Taxi VR. Nope. The Sega I knew just isn't there.

Maybe Sammy has them on a tight leash and just uses their assets for Pachinko games like Konami does. It's a shame being a Sega game fan but no Sega games to look forward to.

fenome3103d ago

Seriously though! When I first saw this I thought I missed an announcement or something. I thought it was to prep people up for the next game. Damn

Azurite3103d ago

"Phantasy Star Online 2 (GameCube, 2012)"
May want to change that to (PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Android, PC and iOS, 2012)

Nybz3102d ago

I need to know when the fuck SEGA is gonna wake up and make a full on PSO 3 with the unreal 4 engine or some shit so I can get lost in the best god damn futuristic world with my pet mag as their god-tier PSO themed music blasts my ear drums forever and ever.

Wake the hell up SEGA, the time is NOW!

You mean only in Japan.

Along with Sega, complete cock tease.

Stop with updating us on a game that will never go stateside.

slinky1234564074d ago

100% agree. I think I will avoid explosion now. They seem to not understand us.
