Game Tangents | Atari’s follow-up to their seminal 2600 wasn’t quite the success Atari was hoping for. In Say Hello To: Atari 5200, Ross takes us through the history of one of early gaming’s most ill-conceived, and fragile, high profile home video game consoles. (Dig Dug, Kaboom, River Raid, Mario Bros.)

Run the maze, dodge the Ghosts, and chase high scores in this real-life Pac-Man experience.
Here is a look at the exhibit from the early access preview.

Kelly Bianucci will report to Atari chairman and CEO Wade Rosen in new company role.
I have fond memories of this system. Pac Man actually looked closer to the arcade than the 2600. Cartridges were huge. Definitely fun times.
I remember I wanted one of these sooo bad but for some reason never got one. Not sure what other console I had at the time.
Space Dungeon was amazingly fun, played coop with my little brother for countless hours.
I actually love the 5200. Lots of great titles, amazing sound quality for a system from the early 80's, and the controller is actually pretty good IF you get a refurbished one from Best Electronics.
I also have the amazing Atari Max Ultimate 5200 SD Cart. The guy who made it is a pure Atari genius.
LOL I will never forget playing cops and robbers on this or missile command
