titanfall is already dead why do people want a second game? it just an overhyped FPS that does nothing new.

Lack of a campaign didnt hurt Counterstrike, Team Fortress, Planetside, Dota2 and a shitload of other superb games. Also games like Battlefield 3/4 and Starhawk that didnt need a campaign but got one anyway are worse for it.

If there is a story to tell and the devs want to tell it then fine, but its not essential.

For Respawn to say having a campaign is "A step backwards" just shows how ignorant they are. Titanfall is alot of fun and I enjoy it plenty. However... including an offline single player story based campaign would have added alot more value for the money. I would also like to see them add an offline bots mode in case your connection isnt working (it does happen). This would flesh out the product and add so much more value. They would get alot more sales because they wouldnt be excluding a large group of gamers that prefer to have a single player campaign as well. If you are paying $60 for a game you may as well demand a complete game while your considering buying it. This would also let devs know that gamers arent so eager to just give them their money for a product that on several levels is lacking in content. Or else this could lead to more devs just milking an online title for $60 a pop with goofy people just being sheep paying for minimum effort on a devs part.

I applaud Sony for making more games that focus on great single player campaigns and interesting storylines. PS4 owners demand more for their games and I feel that is normal. We are the ones spending our money so we shouldnt let devs tell us when and how to spend it if we dont like a product they may be releasing. In the end if they want to sell a game like Titanfall 2 they will need to step it up and give gamers what they want which is more game for their money.

A mistake was made releasing Titanfall on the Xbox1 only...Don't make another mistake by releasing Titanfall 2 with out a great single player campaign....

I did not buy Titanfall precisely because (1) it did not have a single-player campaign and (2) the "story" in Titanfall is thinner than a piece of paper.

To think that I was so hyped last year, thinking that there's equal balance between single & multi-player in Titanfall.

All those saying that increasing the player count wouldn't work because of too many Titans at the same time doesn't make sense. Basically there shouldn't be a timer for you to automatically get a titan. You should have to earn it by killing pilots, not bots. The bots are what eventually made me put this game down after a few weeks. It started out fun but non competitive.

one of the best single and multiplayer games I have played was Gears of War 3 and Judgment (in fact whole Gears series was pretty good)... shame they were locked to MS, would have been great if everyone could play them... would have been nice to see Gears in a first person mode too...

bots should only be used for practice, and should not be used in proper multiplayer games... and tbh I wouldnt even look at Titanfall 2 without a single player campaign to work through... single player and multiplayer go hand in hand, you cannot really have one without the other, especially for the £50 asking price of games these days...

I have no problem with Titanfall 2 having no single player on PS4 if the game is $40. If they are going to charge $60 for an online multiplayer only game and just bring the mediocre content as on the xbone I will not pay $60 for it.

Like I said in The other article as a Xbone owner I still haven't bought the game, and don't plan on to unless I see it for around 20 dollars. I'm a story driven gamer, that's why I don't even subscribe to XBL. But probably will start to just for the free ges. In order for me to buy Titanfall 2 it will need to have a decent campaign. No way in hell am I paying 60 dollars for a multiplayer only game. Same reason I'm not buying that Evolve game 60 dollars for basically a Gears Of War horde mode or Halo Firefight mode. Hell no.

Despite Microsoft's desperate hype to make people believe they needed this game I doubt it sold as much as EA expected and they must be kicking themselves for making this a Microsoft exclusive. Even an XBOX One owning friend no longer plays it and I gave up on the PC version a while ago. The AI is awful, it's truly bad for a game that relies on it to mask the low player count. No single player, no level destruction, no bullet penetration, low number of levels and multiplayer modes for a multiplayer only game. If EA do go ahead with a sequel I think it will be Respawns last chance, EA mothballed Medal of Honor again after a poor reception to Warfighter.

I'm not sure it needs a single player campaign though a campaign would be good. IMO it will need some single player and co-op modes like CoD survival mode or Gears horde mode. I still say TitanFall 1 was going to be a free to play game till Microsoft got involved and tried to hype it into the greatest game ever trying to sell the X1. To me it lacked so much it feels rushed out the door and unfinished IMO. I have it for the XB 360.

I hope they don't waste their time on single player for Titanfall 2, I just hope they improve the multiplayer campaign for the new one. No single player needed.

PS4 doesn't need another COD based game. NEITHER CONSOLE needs another 8 Titanfall rinse and repeat money grabs this gen. You know godamn well they're already planning on milking the eff out of COD again this gen.

I think if they fleshed out the cut scenes and added a more engaging game type during campaign levels , the game will be fantastic. 152 hrs GEN 10 and still playing, i don't need a 10 hour campaign as well.

Id rather have respawn put all there focus, resources & attention on making the best multiplayer experience rather then spread themselves thing to tack on a Campaign

Besides if a Campaign is what you want theres other choices out there like The last of us, Skyrim & bioshock infinite to name a few but thats just my two cents.
