Firefox and NES fusion

Gamertell writes: "This has to be the sketchiest Firefox add-on I have ever seen. A user named FaCuZ2 has created a Firefox add-on application called FireNES which allows users to play 2,500 NES games within their Firefox browser without downloading any kind of additional programs or files. Users simply create an account on the Mozilla site, download Firefox, download the application and then begin playing illegal roms."

Technically nothing can be done about this except for the source of the roms being shut down.

But there is copious amounts of other places to get roms and emulators.. It's no biggy these days really.

Although this would help make it more known to the average person...

I think it's wrong to sell those old games anyways.. Nintendo and Sega and whatnot need to just let people play them for free now... When a console is no longer sold, and hasn't been for years..

You shouldn't be reselling the games for it in another manner. It's ridiculous.

indeed, the nes is like 22 years old or something, it's cool that they release those games on VC, but they should be giving them away, i mean come on the real profit they could make from those games were back in the day, if nintendo for instance gave away their entire library of nes games on VC, people could play all those megamans, ff's, marios, ducktales, a lot of good stuff, it would generate more interest in the nintendo brand, as it is now only major geeks are buying their VC games (i have like 10 friends with a wii and only one buys those games).

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing24d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9224d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit24d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing24d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9224d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
