With the closed beta portion of Landmark still going strong, SOE has announced that players now have access to Player Studio. The Player Studio Marketplace gives the community a place to buy and sell virtual creations in the world of Landmark. With the addition of Player Studio to Landmark, all of SOE’s major games now have a community driven marketplace to share player built creations with the world.
It has been a long road to the launch of Landmark, once an Everquest title, but at last MMOGames present their review of the construction filled MMO.
Not to mention the entire dev team are thieves, liars and douches.
Backers who 'Founded' the game before SOE dropped their ass? They don't get a refund and they don't get a Steam key to get the game and have to rebuy it more or less.
I thought folk who purchased a Founder's Pack do get the game? Just those who had keys gifted from a friend who don't?
Depends, I was an idiot who Backed their game, would have no idea where a download link would be since I got it on their website and not on Steam.
When Sony Online Entertainment announced Everquest Next, they also showcased its creative spin-off, that was supposed to let players help build the world of the upcoming MMORPG. Since then, SOE was sold and changed its name to Daybreak Games, and eventually canceled Everquest Next.
Yet Landmark got to live on.
Daybreak Game Company will officially be launching Landmark on June 10, 2016.
It's too bad about Ever quest Next. A lot of people were really excited, and then Daybreak came along.
Little bit confused, wasn't Landmark like a creation tool for making assets for EQ Next?
That was it's original intention yes. However as EQ kept being delayed and generally ignored by the dev team. Landmark continued to get new features left and right. Eventually (recently actually) EQ Next was canceled, and now they are making Landmark their full game. Might as well at this point.
