I was disappointed to see the graphical downgrade.
I'm still buying it, the gameplay is good enough.

wonderfulmonkeyman4353d ago

Downgrade?
Compared to what, the first one?
If so, you do know that the first one wasn't in hd, right?

AJBACK2FRAG4353d ago

Sorry if your Wii U is running a hdmi cord into your hd television and you slide any Wii game in it will automatically present in hd!!!! It's kinda' cool! Try it and see!

randomass1714353d ago

I doubt there was any actual downgrade. If anything it looks like they upped the performance considering all the stuff that the game was rendering.

Joegrine204353d ago

there wasn't any downgrade. Ppl juss saying that because of the character design XD.

No downgrade here sir

Realplaya4353d ago

There was no downgrade. They showed a intro that had a anime style to it. but if you watched the tree house it looks the same.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory4353d ago

Do you know anything about game design?

Open World will look slightly worst than initiallybecause initially not much was running during alpha footage.

Ck1x4353d ago

I keep seeing this being said, but if people would go and watch the Tree House live game play. It looks exactly the same as the reveal did.

bangoskank4353d ago

You should consider prescription glasses, bud. The game looks gorgeous.

I think it still looks really great.
Honestly I'm kind of disappointed with custom characterization.
I know it might sound weird, but shulk was such a definitive character, i wouldn't want the option of customization.
But it still might be cool. Either way day one for me.

I loved Xenoblade and have similar excitement and apprehensions as mentioned in the article and in the comments- The characters in Xenoblade were fantastic IMO - they all brought personality and depth to the story and gameplay

I hope we get it early 2015 but I m afraid it will be late 2015

Well written article

SlasherXI4353d ago

I have a feeling this will be one of the best RPGs ever!

PiNkFaIrYbOi4353d ago

The main reason why we bought a Wii U was for this game. Can't wait to get it when it comes out.

Playing it right now! It is awesome! Good thing I held myself back from buying this last year. Now I can't wait for XC2 and XC3 to have the same enhancements and upgrade.

repsahj87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

And yes, even XC1. But I haven't tried and owed it yet.

Vits87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

Honestly, it’s kind of bizarre how rough native Switch players had it with this game for years. Aside from the original Wii U release, Xenoblade has pretty much been a series that felt better on emulators than on the actual hardware, mainly because of the blurry image quality and unstable frame rates.

It’s good to finally see an official version of the game that doesn’t look terrible and apparently is stable.

ABizzel187d ago

This is exactly why hardware matters to a decent extent.

It effectively took a 900p@30fps, maxed it to 1080p, then used DLSS to upscale it 4x in resolution to render at 4K, while also doubling frame rate.

I am waiting for a physical copy.

repsahj87d ago

Nice! Almost 2 months waiting is not that long.

Hmmm interesting. Hopefully true, liking the slowly but surely partnership between the big 3. Just imagine all the xenoblade games officially on pc. I think mcsft going 3rd party but still making consoles fits them.

Kneetos351d ago

Xenoblade chronicles X is not there

Either removed or the picture shown was edited, but it is currently not there

NettosGameRoom351d ago

You can still view it using the internet archive!

TheColbertinator351d ago

This is good. Real good if Nintendo is smart to capitalize.

jznrpg351d ago

I would bet a lot of money it’s not happening

GotGame81893d ago

I don't see this happening. Nintendo has said the "Only place to play a Nintendo game, will be on a Nintendo console!". Yes I know people are using emulators, but that isn't what Nintendo intended.

MAYBE, if Nintendo does decide to port X over, it's because it is an Xenoblade game that is stand alone.

X, is my favorite Xenoblade game in the Series, because of Skells" flying your Skell and battling with them feels great!
