June 4, 2008 - A study recently conducted by consumer research group Nielsen found that younger gamers spend most of their time playing the Xbox 360, and older gamers while away the hours with the PlayStation 3. In both age groups, the Wii came in a distant second in total amount of play time received.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.
Those numbers are a little tough to follow, but the results are really wierd.
That explains why 360 gamers on live are so childish.
ummmmmm......none from me : )
The PS3 has a higher "Average of sessions per day" than Wii (2.12 to 2.07)
PS3 has a higher "Average session length(minutes)" than Wii (72 to 53)
PS3 has a higher "Average usage days per month" than Wii (21.06 to 19.66)
Than how does the Wii have a higher "%of total console minutes" 12.33 to 24.94?
It's kind of obvious that older gamers would spend more time on the PS3. Casual gamers don't spend that much time gaming during one session of gaming anyways on the Wii and there attention spans don't last that long.
But I do know that there are a LOT of younger people with Xbox 360's because: 1. Xbox 360 Arcade is cheap to get and it makes them accessible to the younger crowd that can't drop $400-$500 dollars for a console, and 2. On a lot of Youtube videos about Xbox Live, you can almost always hear these little 10-11 year old kids in the background cursing and whatnot, it's just so funny. On the Playstation Network I have yet to hear little kids Online, it's almost always middle aged teens (15-16) and up.
