Because Nintendo’s upcoming Mario game had no deadline, its creators were able to experiment with new styles and move from the Mushroom Kingdom to the Flower Kingdom—with delightfully trippy results.
If this game is great, then it should be a lesson to other developers.

that seems like a strange decision to make.
To be fair he said ''probably not'' which means their is still a slim chance this feature could be worked in. Mario Maker is still in development so a bunch of choices are still to be made before the final product releases.
I hope the feature is added with the final release.
Not that big a deal. Old Mario games were take-a-turn multiplayer.
I'm sure when the game is released people will clamor for more content like skins and items. Nintendo always likes to evolve games as they move through development, I don't see them standing by this too stubbornly. This game went from a Dev tool to a full fledged video game, so anything is possible
I wasn't expecting any.
What I want to know is how good sharing and searching for creations will be. This will make or break the game.
There must be a good rating system and a decent way to search a shift through the junk to get the diamonds.There must also be a good sharing system that make it easy to show people creations.
