Rely on Horror: Flight is given priority over fight in Isolation, and now that I've had some hands-on time with the game, I can say that it is far superior to its Gearbox developed predecessor in every way, but I still have some reservations on whether or not its gameplay will be as functional and terrifying as it sounds like it should be on paper.

An opinion piece on the best Alien games. From arcade Alien vs Predator action to a terrifying Xenomorph stalker, these are the best Alien video games starring Ridley Scott’s chestbursting, acid-blooded nightmare.
Aliens Fireteam Elite was my GotY in 2021, single player was kinda bad but playing that game 3 player with friends was so good and really challenging on higher difficulties
Massive shout out to Aliens Vs predator 2 (2001), a dialup lag filled fun mess in multiplayer and 3 great campaigns

Alien Isolation Grand Mother VR is an all new virtual reality experience for Creative Assembly’s best ever horror game.
I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.
Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.
It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.
I've seen the video and I liked, I don't understand the reason behind this.
First off, the demo was a challenge mode not the story. So, it kinda begs to be, well, challenging. This means dying alot. And this isnt what u would tackle first anyway. U would try ur hand at it after learning the mechanics of the game. Maybe they shouldn't hav used this as a demo but thats another issue.
Video games hav always struggled with difficulty b/c many gamers want to be challenged and many just want to enjoy the ride. Maybe they should institute a very easy story mode for those gamers.
Concerning deaths, they need to implement many death animations to deal with the tedium that comes from dying alot. DO NOT make it easier!!! Also, and this could be a great idea. Created some mechanic in which if u do everything correctly up to a certain point u earn an escape ability. They r very rare and maybe even work 25% of the time but it would add tension and hope when we make a mistake. Imagine the stories that come from making through a difficult part, finally getting to the end after trying for hours...and u r caught!! Wtf!! But...u hav saved ur escape chance for this moment and u trigger it. U wait and YES!!!...at that last moment when the alien would usually rip ur throat apart, u were able to get the flare off and blind it, allowing u to escape and hide. What u do from there is up to u.
It could work.
Instead of making it easier or difficult why not bring back Jack and Daxter difficulty mechanics which was based on the skill of the player.
