it's a dev that have experience on the PS3..

We don't wanna see things go technically wrong, it will be surprising to see how this one fares in reviews.

We all expect it should be miles better in every way.

it would be great if either naughty dog or insomniac will be involved, but highly unlikely. 2k/naughty dog/insomniac are 3 respectable developers and i just dont see either of them working on each others' games

I think it's Naughty Dog, look how well they made Uncharted and that was their first PS3 game!

It either naughty dog or insomniac. Amy Henning and Ted Price, both from their respective companies, praised the game in this month EGM. IMO I think it's one of these companies, so you know its a must buy for ps3.

I think Naughty Dog just because Insomniac are working on Resistance 2.

Third party help...? Hmmm, Insomaniac and Naughty Dogs are consider it Second and first party. So I don't got a clear idea... yet!.

I have investigated it further and we have now identified that the company is Microsoft Game Studios. They have acknowledged the awesome power of the Ps3 and were more than happy to help out! There you have it.

Call me crazy, but I don't think it's Naughty Dog or Insomniac. I think it's Epic studios.

This game runs on the Unreal Engine 3 (I think) and not many games on a technical level run smoothly on the PS3 with this engine.

Epic has experience with the Unreal Engine on the PS3 so that makes them a obvious candidate for the "mystery developer" possition.

This will give 2k Boston more room to focus on Bioshock 2.

They say it's their first PS3 project, and considering they have been working on Bioshock 2 for a while then it might mean that they aren't coding it for PS3.

In another Sony announcement made today, it appears that two games being developed by the internal London studios have now been potentially canned. The Getaway and Eight Days are now out of production, thanks to budgetary redistribution. Gamesindustry.biz have the full statement from Sony, in which they state that "this decision was made following an internal review of all games and it was deemed that with the incredibly strong list of exclusive first party titles coming up both this year and in the near future, resource should be reallocated to enhance those projects closer to completion."

It's thought that this is a direct result of Phil Harrison's successor, Shuhei Yoshida, becoming President of Sony's Worldwide Studios. We heard relatively recently from The Getaway's lead writer that the game was still in production and UK newspaper The Guardian had a recent article claiming Eight Days was ramping up to full production, so it's disheartening to hear that the projects have been canned

3rd party other then original dev mostly means... They don't want to burn their hands on the port.

All games redone by another dev have turned out to be not that good as the original... Remember The Orange Box PS3 fanboys.
