No Man's Sky Dev Reveals Oculus Rift Experiments

VRFocus - Back in April 2014 No Man's Sky developer Hello Games revealed that it was experimenting with the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset. It did so by posting images and videos on the likes of Twitter and Vine, showing members of the development team walking around its office with the headset on and connected to a laptop worn on the user's back. At the time it was thought that this could be a possible tease for VR support for the team's anticipated first-person project. It certainly seemed like a good fit, but it turns out that that wasn't the case.

No Man's Sky is certainly one of the more intriguing games, but I can't say it's the best till I know if their grand vision for what this game could be will work in actuality. I love it in theory, I'm just wondering how the heck it's going to run and work flawlessly considering the scope of what they're trying to do? If it turns out to be everything it says it is, I could lose my life to it....forever. Ambitious is an understatement. Having said all that, I'm looking forward to games like Uncharted, Bloodborne, The Division, Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, etc. etc. every bit as much. 2015 is looking incredible, I have no idea where I'll find the time to play all the games.

Seriously, what they are doing is nothing "new". One guy, with some outside help created the i-Novea engine years ago.

Point is, they aren't really doing anything ground breaking so there's no reason to worry about them being overly ambitious.

I'm not belittling their efforts and have high hopes for these guys, but its about damn time people started to take notice of this tech.

This is such an excellent game. I was shocked by how good this game looked to me.
Can't wait for this game.

No Man's Sky reminds me of Spore. The art-style, the randomly generated worlds, space-exploration..
