In the overall picture. Gamers did for sure.
Performance wise for me Nintendo. They really made my wiiu purchase just.

Sony barely gets second just cause of that opener and finally. 20 mins middle could of leave it out.

Xbox 3rd only because Halo Master Chief Collection will make me get an xbone soon.

Ubisoft and Aiesha Tyler.
Microsoft was all games but too many CG trailers for things too far off. No Halo 5 gameplay and no Quantum Break.
Sony was good with most games shown coming in less than a year and Vita TV but an almost purposely boring tv section.
Nintendo was good but they are starving for something new.

Ya gamers did win. I think all 3 of them had pretty good shows. Sony and Nintendo had more exclusives that appealed to me like, Zelda, bloodborne, lbp3, the order, uncharted 4, X, and star fox. I don't own a wii u yet but with those games coming and mario cart 8 and pikmin 3 that I really want to play. I think now is the time. MS's show was good too, that halo collection looks amazing. There other exclusives don't appeal to me much tho. But all in all good e3 no matter what console u own.

Every conference had issues for me (I'm a very very picky gamer) but Sony and Nintendo did the best in my eyes. Nintendo did really good, but Bloodborne and MGSV looked amazing to me.

So by the generic who "won" my opinion is Sony, but everyone did great, just no super shockers this year.

I'd say everyone. All three console manufacturers had awesome press conferences. After a long string of years where there was always at least one big flop amongst the three, this year was awesome, front to back.

I personally found Nintendo's event to be the most interesting, with Bayonetta Collection, Splatoon and Zelda U, but Microsoft had Scalebound and Sunset Overdrive, while Sony had Bloodborne, Let It Die, and the Grim Fandango announcement.

It was just a very satisfying show from everyone. Aside from Sony shafting the Vita (again), I really don't have anything to complain about.

Nintendo win hands down....gamers ain't win squat unless we getting guarantees that review companies would go back to being honest..

Nintendo made me want a WiiU. MS did absolutely nothing to convince to buy Xbox One.

Sony were true to their roots they announced a classic platformers and some mature stuff .
they tried to win all tastes and thats fine because not everyone has the same taste for example i hate shooters very much .
microsoft they had the same tone the whole show , shooter shooter , history dragons , they lacked the diversity .
nintendo not the best show they ever had of course but they were original and had some charming games that truly deserves the respect also the smash invitational competition was very good .

Nintendo really came out swinging, showing they can support the WiiU by themselves if need be. The Smash event, ZeldaU video, StarFox reveal, and the fun they had with Robot Chicken and each other really hit me in the feels. Sony and MS had a moment of feels, but Nintendo really brought me back to their side

Nintendo really looks committed to giving their long lived fanbase what we deserve, with a few titles to catch the eye of fringe core gamers. Devil's Third was completely unexpected

If i need to choose one, i choose Nintendo.

Sony fell into the "Buy my peripherals, old PS3 games, TV TV TV".

For ME, if you can respect an opinion, Sony. Just because they revealed Bloodborne.

Loved it all apart from ea and that boring 30mins or so from sony. My wallet will be hurting, but I am very happy.

Sony won for me. No Man's Sky, exclusive content for Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, and Uncharted 4 clinched it for me.

MS had a solid conference too, mind you. Most of their stuff was leaked prior though, and, for the most part, fondness of their first party IPs is a must, or it wasn't that great of a conference. However, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark, and the few indie titles they announced, count for something. Too bad I don't care for Halo, Forza or Fable.

Nintendo had a solid Nintendo Direct thingy too. Much like MS's conference, most of their stuff was expected, and again, fondness of their IPs is a must. I think they did what they had to do, so the Wii U isn't completely sunk yet, but I also doubt it has gained enough momentum to surpass the competition.

Sony won it for me, because more of their stuff rested on its own merits, as new IPs, and not as sequels to existing IPs that could sell themselves at this point. Don't get me wrong. I think sequels are great too. I just think that without new IPs, the industry would stagnate, and that's an area that Sony invests more in, than their competitors.

Sony for me.

I enjoyed each conference. This will be the first time in a long time I try and purchase all 3 platforms.

So when Nintendo wins everyone wants to try and ignore it and say "gamers won" if Sony won I can guarantee those same people would be throwin Sony parties and chanting "Sony domination" etc....

Sony was the best in my opinion then Microsoft and Ubisoft came in second place. 3rd place was for Nintendo not because the direct was bad but just because there were way to many side acrolling platformers in it. Plus the fact I had to see Reggie took away some points. Last was EA which had the most disgusting conference out of all of them. I wanted to see a lot more about Mass Effect but instead they only showed us a few seconds of footage. And since I'm not interested in sport games the majority LD the conference wasn't for me.

Ubisoft won for me with RB6. I didn't watch Nintendo as I have no interest, but MS beat Sony purely because it was all games. Fair enough most were multiplatform but Im judging it on entertainment value alone. Sony did bore me a little.
The worst part of e3 was that COD gameplay they opened MS with. It was so boring! What a bad way to start a show, they could of picked a more exciting part of the game to showcase...unless it doesn't get any more exciting?

I didn't get to see the Microsoft conference but I saw Sony and Nintendo. From what I've read Sony and Microsoft were about the same so if that's true Nintendo is the winner. They had WAY more exclusives compared to the other two. Sony announced mostly games we already knew about. Not much new in the MS and Sony conferences. Nintendo had alot of games that excited me. They definitely won.

Microsoft lost 2013 E3 and deservedly so.

They went back to the drawing board, got new leadership, listened to their fans and came to 2014 E3 and DOMINATED it.

Microsoft won this year's E3, by a mile.

I believe Nintendo won- and their announcements aren't even over yet! I was very surprised by many of their game announcements (Kirby, Splatoon, Giant Robot, Project Guard, Star Fox, Captain Toad), and there's still a lot more to come! Mystery 3DS game is getting revealed today... I would bet on the Pikachu detective game, but who knows?

Nintendo smashed it (pun intended).

Microsoft won, a game filled conference couldn't be beat, and the premise of Crackdown 3 sounds great. The announcement of a consumer friendly service XboX Feedback (Similar to PSBlog Share) helped them rise above the competition.

Sony while having an impressive list of games lost some points with the TV and movies part. I also didn't like how the next Ratchet and CLank game was announced to essentially be a tie in game with the movie. Furthermore, there were things I thought Sony should have addressed that they didn't (The Last Guardian, Agent, and building the lsit.)Still I say they took second

Ubisoft took third with a good list of games, but with no news of games like Beyond Good And Evil 2, it's hard to put them any higher.

Nintendo had a fairly bad showing in my view. There was way to much pointless filler during there digital event and they ignored a lot of issues I felt they should have addressed (such as a lot of features gamers have been begging Nintendo for, Really Nintnedo is the only one of the big three that completely ignores their consumers, this needs to change.)

And EA.. Well, they just sucked.

One thing Sony and MSFT forgot to mention is 90% of their titles they announced were multiplatform (Even tho they debuted during their conferences)... Alot of their heavy hitters will be on PC, which IMO is kind of a knock on how they performed at E3 (outside of most the top titles being CGI trailers and being released late 2015)

Battlefield, COD, Witcher, GTA5, Planet Side, Evolve, Mortal Kombat, The division / crew, Rainbow 6, Arkham Knight, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Indie titles (Surely Battlefront will be multiplatform including PC)... Are all going to PC with countless others..

I will say this again the best combo to have this gen is PC + Wii U .. Almost all games Nintendo announced are 100% exclusive to the system that you cant get anywhere.

I will get a lot of hate for this but everyone says Nintendo rehashes their titles.. Look at what Sony / Msft did .. all their heavier hitters were recycled franchises from last gen.. Sony is releasing 100 zombie games literally most their games have people fighting zombies.. Msft has Sunset Overdrive which looks very linear and is basically Tony Hawk + infamous.

Nintendo may not have won the event with their titles.. but they won on experience alone.. Digital Event, Treehouse 24/7 , Smash Tourney / round table, almost all games on the show floor playable and extended play thrus on treehouse ...

Im serious when i say nintendo should just skip this generation and move on to the next. And guys I'm sorry to say but Nintendo didn't win E3 hands down it was sony but i gotta say they showed that they wont go down without a fight being that they are basically developing all their exclusives.

I haven't found Nintendo relevant to me as a hardware maker - and only infrequently for software- since the Gamecube.

This E3 2014 completely changed my mind about where THEIR minds are now. They are bringing innovations on their own terms and it looks beautiful. It was a very beautifully done presentation- fun, lively and talkative and it even took frank fun at Nintendo's reliance on Mario and all the frequent, ignored, calls for Starfox (something I don't mind as I don't like Starfox).

The confidence of it was superb. It was the equivalent of Sony's turn last E3. I hope that it vitalises WiiU's sales. They had a very impressive number of exclusives shown- and beautiful, interesting, ones too including the Yoshi yarn game, Splatoon and Mario Maker.

Who won E3? People-wise, I like Sony's range. I like Andrew House's professional, precise, approach by the way and the new CEO had a good first E3 too. As well as the guy with glasses who really looks like a gamer's gamer.

Phil Spencer did well in his back to the basics of games approach though. And I was pleasantly pleased that Inside (by the makers of Limbo) will be a timed exclusive for Xbox One.

But for refreshing 180 change in perception of a company, Nintendo won as far as I'm concerned.

Nintendo definitely had the best E3 hands down. Among the best things is the continuous Treehouse GAMEPLAY coverage. This E3 gave me the impression that Nintendo is an industry on its own self, they had the most fan-involvement and personal approach through the massively successful Smash Invitational and the cool presentation in the Digital Event. I was impressed by the huge number of exclusives and the wide gamut of art styles in the games presented that suit almost every kind of gamer out there. And not to forget that ZELDA reveal and Xenoblade X 40+ mins gameplay. I am happy for Nintendo and for its fans who are basically us, gamers.

I thought all consoles did well and had something very impressive to show. All the people claiming hands down need to relax and just be thankful these developers are doing so much to entertain us. Personally this is the best E3 I've ever witnessed where everybody pretty much delivered something worth while.

Nintendo didn't even manage to impress with Zelda. Infamous second son puts Zelda graphics to shame 10x around.

Microsoft and Sony had a showing of multi platforms.

Sony won because they showed Uncharted a game who graphics X1 will not be able to match due to console hardware power restrictions and PS4 also has the beta for hardline and destiny which gives fans a hand on approach to 2 of the most anticipated games of 2014.

Only ones playing those games will be those that already have their console. They did nothing to grab the hard core gamer, nor pull anyone away from the other consoles.

while "Rated E for everyone" sounds nice on paper, it's not the Game of the year that every one drools for.
