so you play as a girl this time?

Dudebro904368d ago

And you came to that conclusion....how?

-Foxtrot4368d ago

You have to admit Link looks really feminine in this one.

Either Link is female this time and Zelda is male or they've switched the roles around and Link became the Price of Hyrule and Zelda is the girl to defeat the evil and save the land.

mydyingparadiselost4368d ago

I was actually hoping for that, you play as Zelda and save Prince Link. It would be a rather surprising twist to the Zelda formula. I was disappointed but the game looks AMAZING!

Zeppelino4368d ago

I don't think that's Link. I don't even think that is the main character, the horse doesn´t even have white "hair" as epona has.

Just a thought

ritsuka6664367d ago

You know Link is a MAN ,right? A androgenous man but still.

I love the open world aspect too. Link between worlds let you do the temples in any order you want with the ability to rent weapons you haven't unlocked yet. It was really cool and obviously what they are going to do for this game. Can't wait!

Number-Nine4368d ago

The environment loomed amazing. Open world sounds like it could work great. The cel shaded look of link is a turnoff. Was hoping for something like the original tech demo.

Rogert4367d ago

So you were hoping for something that was gray and gritty instead of a vibrant world full of expression?

Number-Nine4367d ago

you can have a realistic link in a vibrant world

DarkLord10034368d ago

The landscape looks beautiful. But I don't like how Link looks. I want a more realistic approach. Like the Tech demo at the Wii U reveal..

IIZANGETSUII4368d ago

Yeah me too, i wanted that look so badly, i guess we'll have to wait until a new next gen system.

Theyellowflash304368d ago

That tech demo was based off Twilight Princess. This new look is freaking amazing

-Foxtrot4368d ago (Edited 4368d ago )

I doubt they could of made a game as open looking as this one with the realistic style in the tech demo

Maybe it's easier for them to do it this way.

InTheLab4368d ago

Yeah. I wanted that too but I'm sure there had to be trade offs due to the limitations of the hardware. Love the art style but was hoping for a bit of realism this time. That would truly be unique for Zelda.

jhoward5854368d ago (Edited 4368d ago )

The new link look better to me b/c the new link character model would work better with Zelda U lighting system. The old link looks great too but the new look has a more cartoony look which made his facial impressions more visual/clear to see. Seems to me Nintendo are taking wind waker's visual to another level.

How about the original Legend of Zelda remade with the Echoes of Wisdom engine. Maybe throw in added dungeons, or expand the map to make the game longer than the original.

meganick63d ago

A Zelda 1 remake would be great, but not with the Echoes of Wisdom art style. I find it unappealing.

Neonridr63d ago

I'd even suggest a Link to the Past as well. Would love a more modern HD look using the Links Awakening / Echoes engine.

jreeves8263d ago

I would like Twilight Princess HD for Switch or Switch 2.

A movie trailer, or nothing if Mario's was anything to go by

Link Should Talk, but Choose His Words Carefully in The Legend of Zelda Movie

Link should have a voice in The Legend of Zelda Movie. While he mostly stays quiet in the games, he canonically does speak but usually holds back on expressing his thoughts. In a movie format, it is better for the character and the story itself that Link speaks.

I just hope it's not a bunch MCU Snarky McJokeface dialog. Started playing veilguard free on PSN (would not recommend) and it's a perfect example of how dialog in contemporary entertainment is garbage.

Relientk77420d ago

It's gonna be Chris Pratt again lol

"It's a me Link"

I'd love a Zelda 2 remake/redo.
