Wonder if we'll get something strong story wise since Yager's handling this.

I liked the trailer, more in tune with Dead Island, less serious and stuff like what Dead Island the actual game was.

If we can take a van and go ham on some zombies on the beach its gonna be insane. No small island seems like the city of LA becomes the play ground.

i really hope we get a proper story with excellent combat

spec ops the line one of the most under rated games of all time.

Not only is it underrated. It's one of the best video game stories ever made, period. The underlying message in that game is so damn powerful and the ending is so mesmerizing that it's a shame that game didn't get game of year votes.

Such a beautiful story that not only critiques the shooter genre, not only critiques game narrative, but it critiques war as we know it. The best part is that they didn't have to use heavy handed imagery or narrative tricks to achieve this. Yager opened some eyes with that IP.

Big time bummer, man. That studio goes from Spec Ops to this? Nothing against dead island, but come on. Breaks my heart when I see devs with that much potential settle for this. Good luck on the game, though.

I see what your saying, but this could be really good too because of them. Some people handle "stress" by acting goofy and what not when really they are a mess. I think we can have a potential great story on our hands.

This to me is like Microsoft taking remedy and making them do a Dead rising game. Or Sony taking Santa Monica or RAD and saying hey go make a Dantes inferno game. There's just games that are below a certain devs level. Yager should be making games on the level of The Division, not a cartoony over-saturated zombie game. I'll play the game, but I feel it's a waste of a talented dev teams time.

Anyone see the potential mainly from Spec Ops not being as bugged to hell as the first Dead Island? If they keep the quality of work, this could turn out pretty good.

So Dying Light from Techland in February 2015, and Yager is making the sequel to Techland's Dead Island spring 2015! Dying light all the way man. But that Unreal 4 Engine could be a game changer.
