Only when it's forced and gets in the way of the single player experience.

Yes, I'm not an MP player and hardly touch them.

I wouldn't say its spoiled gamers, I would say its ruined gamers. Many gamers now feel like every game (no matter the genre) must have mp in order for them to play it, and thats unfortunate because many gamers miss out on good games now

I agree. Games like Zelda, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout etc don't need nor should they have multiplayer. I'm a very competitive player and had my share of sweaty tryhard matches in Gears 2/3(also some really sick games against stacked teams in alpha and ranked tdm/execution that I wish I had a capture card for) but it's always good to just ignore everyone and enjoy a good story. I'd much rather have more dungeons to explore in Zelda and more quests in Fallout than a shoehorned multiplayer mode.

Just think about how much content has been omitted from games just so that a useless multiplayer mode can be squeezed into to a game. The two games that come to mind the most are Killzone Shadow Fall and Tomb Raider. It's obvious that the multiplayer modes for those games were an afterthought and completely unnecessary.
