If you liked the black and white art style of LIMBO, you will certainly fall in love with the mysterious atmosphere you will find in Monochroma. The touch of red added to the dark, industrial setting of the game is similar to Sin City albeit with saturations that are less vivid. The visuals seem to come straight from a nightmare that has come to haunt you but it does so without an overabundance of violence.
COG writes - Monochroma is a game of the cinematic platformer variety but this black and white game fails to impress in nearly every aspect.
Neil writes "Telling a story with no written or spoken words isn’t anything new in the gaming world. Telling a story with little more than some delightful black and white visuals isn’t either. In fact, you’ll struggle to find much in Monochroma that hasn’t already been seen in various other games."
