As long as the game itself feels worth what was paid that is all that is relevant to me. DLC is optional content that I will purchase if I wish to play the game longer. Was an interesting documentary. DLC very much arose from the used game sales increasing leading to less money for developers

Very interesting indeed, to hear what people inside the industry have to say themselves about dlcs.

started as a good idea and turned into the cancer of gaming.

There is still good DLC that i will support. But there is way to many shady sh*t going on.

I agree it did start as a great idea I remember back then when I looked forward for DLC announcements. Now I get the announcement while the game is being actively developed. Also another thing that makes me shed a tear was the loss of unlockable content during the very end of the ps2 era unlockables were a plenty now with DLC full mainstream/business model unlockables dont exist as much anymore and items need to be bought with real cash dont even get me started with the whole using real money to have digital money in game.

Agreed

But like the guy in the Video said. Until people start voting with their wallet this will continue.
