That's certainly a curious bit of info. Interesting...

guitarded774419d ago

Then it's said, it's not what we think it is in another tweet.

Also, Nintendo isn't having a presser, so any announcement would come through the Nintendo Direct... or whatever they're using as their central E3 platform this year.

I'm expecting Zelda U in some form or another, but don't think she's part of the announcement.

wonderfulmonkeyman4419d ago

The Nintendo Digital event is likely going to be a mix of online and live stuff on the show floor, even without a press conference.
I don't have any evidence of that, but why else would they differentiate it by calling it the Digital EVENT instead of just sticking to calling it a Nintendo Direct?

Also, the Invitational will be bigger than the press conferences in crowd size and reaction, so there is that.

Neonridr4419d ago

The Treehouse portion is live so maybe there will be some sort of announcements done there?

randomass1714419d ago

Bet you anything she's gonna be cosplaying Princess Zelda.

Robin Williams in Smash Brothers !

He can mind change between 32 different characters on command.

saladthieves4419d ago

Lol...yap. I don't expect him to stick to any character...he'll just go through all of them at the same time.

Majora's mask for the 3DS plz.

SilentNegotiator4420d ago

Who dares disagree?! Majora's Mask is a must for 3DS.

Ac7iVe4420d ago

Would rather have it on WiiU in all of it's HD glory

SilentNegotiator4420d ago (Edited 4420d ago )

Would rather have it portable and in all of its 3D glory.

It's an N64 game. Putting it in 1080p isn't going to do THAT much for it, even with added bells and whistles.

Concertoine4420d ago

Wrong, putting it in 1080p will do nothing but HURT it.
I think MM is best on 3ds, less of a power gap so quicker development time. I think expecting it in HD is too much, though i would definitely buy it on wii u.

hazelamy4419d ago

maybe people who would rather see a whole new Zelda game.

jcnba284419d ago

I agree since OOT was already on 3DS, it only makes sense to put MM on 3DS as well.

Samus HD4419d ago

I would rather have an entirely new Game!

randomass1714419d ago

@Samus HD Then we can have both!

@SilentNegotiator I'm cool for a 3DS or a Wii U remake honestly. I think 3DS is more likely since they may opt to use the same assets from Ocarina of Time 3D.

But you know what would satisfy everyone? A dang 3DS player. Make it happen Nintendo! :D

Lord_Sloth4419d ago

Why? I still have and play it on both my Gamecube. I don't need another copy of the game.

I might catch flack for this but I don't see why everyone is clamoring for remakes... I admit I might be mildly interested in another halo remake. I understand maybe because its such an old game some people might want an update of it but shouldn't Nintendo focus on creating a new and unique Zelda experience?

Her name was Zelda...

She was a calligraphy enthusiast with a slight overbite, and hair the colour of strained peaches.

Best 2D, Mario World, best 3D, Mario 64. Can't say there's been a bad one, although Mario World 2 wasn't a true sequel. The Mario Land games were good (not the first one) and also Wario Land. I thought after Mario 64, Mario 3D World was excellent.
