
VRFocus - ANTVR has passed its Kickstarter goal for its upcoming all-in-one virtual reality (VR) headset. The company has now raised more than its initial target of $200,000 USD to help fund the device’s development and production, with 28 days still left on the clock until its 23rd June 2014 closure. Developer versions of the headset should start being sent out to project backers in July 2014, with beta versions going out to other backers the following September.

During E3 LagunaLevine set out to try as many Virtual Reality headsets as he could manage. He tried out the new StarVR, AntVR, Oculus Rift, and Samsung Gear VR.

VRFocus - It’s been some time since virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts have heard from ANTVR, the ‘all-in-one’ VR head-mounted display (HMD) that managed to raise over $260,000 USD via a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign in mid-2014. Part of the appeal of this unique HMD is that it can run on a wide range of devices, including PC and Xbox 360. This week at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the company behind ANTVR has reconfirmed that the kit will also be compatible with the PlayStation 4, and has even announced to VRFocus that it will be launching on the console with a VR version of first-person horror title P.T..

The money will help fund the development and production of the all-in-one headset.
