I don't much care for Aisha Tyler as host, but I'm excited to see the Ubisoft press conference because they tend to have the games I'm most interested in. I'm very excited to see Far Cry 4 and more of The Division.

Aisha Tyler is cool. Last year I think she tried too hard to be funny, but it was a good show. She sounded like a gamer.

Farcry 4 is definitely one of my most anticipated shooters especially as can't wait to explore a new setting, go on my own personal safaris, as well as actually shoot things ;). The Division though still looks phenomenal and more ambitious/original which is why I can't wait to see more of it.

I hope to see Rainbow Six again as well and maybe some new strategy game of some sort. Some sort of Prince of Persia, Beyond Good and Evil, Brother in Arms, Call of Juarez (open world...), or even a 3d Rayman game (or a new 3d platformer) would be icing in the cake. I don't expect all of it but I would love to see at least 1 or 2.

Other than those I hope for a new IP to be announced again but they have enough franchises where I would simply be happy to see a returning focus on them for a while beyond simply AC all the time (bet we see AC though).

She does a pretty good job and she also seems to be a genuine gamer.

She acts like a genuine gamer. She's good at acting like a genuine gamer. I saw an episode of whose line (the newer one she hosts) and a GTA reference was made, she had NO idea. Said she's never played it.

I'm not saying that if you've never played GTA you're not a genuine gamer... only... yes, I actually am definitely saying that.

Eldyraen4424d ago

GTA is by no means an accurate way to decide if someone is a gamer or not. I still haven't played older GTA games much (at all for some) and never will as thug life doesn't interest me much and even 4/5 pushed my boundaries at times.

If it wasn't for sandbox, free style exploration/gameplay I probably wouldn't even play it at all--5 is my favorite in that regards and expect even more from 6 now. A phenomenal franchise but not always my cup of tea.

Aisha though is still a better celebrity host than just about anyone else plus she comes across as more genuine than nearly any celebrity/celebrity gamer--whether truly genuine or not.

Sigh... Aisha Tyler again?? Sorry but please get someone else to host. She comes off so lame plus all she does is try to make jokes through the whole conference which btw aren't funny.

Eldyraen4424d ago

The last bit applies to every conference speaker ever but she is still better than most.

MrSwankSinatra4424d ago

Yeah but she tries way too hard though, i can understand if they're just corny jokes here and there but she has the tendency to overdo it. Which is really annoying imo.

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
