One of the best announcements I wish would be an Xbox handheld console or game pad.

I hope it's nothing too flashy.. I associate Microsoft's flashy crap with them attempting to woo the casual/family market with shiny things and that is the very same image that Microsoft needs to get away from for a few years at least.

They are announcing their purchase of Naughty Dog, then collecting the tears all around the world and using them to grow plants for starving kids in Africa. Then after fans start the "Naughty Dog sucks now" campaign (before releasing anything), MS will announce that they are the new Major shareholder in Sony Gaming Division.

Can't really think of anything else Microsoft could pull-off that hasn't already happened before... that would be relevant to gaming. If I was to think outside the box, I'm sure they could:

• Upload stage demos to Xbox Live for users to try in realtime
• Skype/connect directly with users at home
• Have live/online voting with users in the audience or at home

i think that it will be 1 of 3 things or all 3.

1. xbox one finally being opened up as a devkit for every xbox one.

2. microsoft and the xbox finally making the deal to move forward on the x1 being a cable box and sold under a deal and contract for a subsidized price for X amount of contract singed years.

3. microsoft gave listened and gave you choice with the kinectless sku, but they didn't give you a price cut. they could very well give a 50 to a 100 dollar price cut on the xbox one console (with and without kinect systems).

i think that these are all possible (the last one a little less likely, but not impossible being that they have already started to turn a profit on the x1).

Microsoft is attempting to change the optics of their current situation. With the $399.99 xbox one releasing, they are now trying to make it appear as if "great things" are coming, "amazing" announcement are on the horizon, that Microsoft has "great things" for E3.

Uh-huh... either show something or shut up. We get it, you've had your butts kicked for the last 6 months, and now you THINK you can fool people into wanting your product. Although, to be fair, Microsoft would label it as "enticing consumers," as would any other company.

Tell you what - show your asses up, show off some games, and then we'll see what Sony brings to the table, and how badly they demolish your announcements. (Disclaimer: Sony may or may not demolish Microsoft at E3, although, as of now they are demolishing microsoft)
