this is the single most naieve and ignorant person i have ever heard today.

he actually states that it is a viable business strategy to sell a multimillion dollar game so intricate as to think about metabolism and muscle structure to ONLY BIOLOGISTS!!!!!

the game industry was scared it would not get enough profit from this era in gaming because of spiralling production costs, and this guy recommends only selling to obscure and miniscule groups of people

It would sell games... but much more targetted at certain audiences.
depth is the major component that has been lacking from games for a long time.

He isn't advocating creating games that no one would play - but games that actually have some depth, some meat and potatoes to them.

Yakuza Live-Action Miniseries Debuts March 17 Exclusively on IGN
