The simulation genre has gotten a bit out of control. From its origins with flight and racing sims, it soon brought an influx of games recreating such seemingly menial jobs as bus driving, towtruck driving and farming. Recently, we’ve seen ridiculous games that aim to parody the genre such as Surgeon Simulator and Goat Simulator become more popular than the games they set out to imitate. Now Berserk Games has taken it upon themselves to produce the latest entry to the genre, this time simulating a tabletop, of all things. Despite the strange-sounding concept, though, the game is no joke.
Berserk Games will be carrying out a series of major 2.0 updates for Tabletop Simulator, reworking most or the game including the VR support.

I've never understood apologizing to a minuscule segment of society that barely has any impact financially. The average person does not care that someone without any personality of their own isn't allowed to talk about their sexuality nobody asked about, in a tabletop simulator of all things.
The boardgame Community strives to be inclusive and very progressive of these issues so this might not go down well, but Tabletop Simulator has been an industry lifeline over the last 2 years with developers even adapting to it for conventions. So there'll be plenty out to defend TTS too.
