While the news didn’t come as much of a surprise, it was a dramatic change that showed Microsoft was willing to listen to their consumers.
Almost a year on, Microsoft has made its second U-turn with the news that, from June 2014, the Xbox One will be available without Kinect for the first time. As a result, £80 has been knocked off the price tag since it first launched less than six months ago."

Gamerdeals:
"Grab Disney Fantasia: Music Evolvedicon for $2.99 (Xbox 360) or $4.99 (Xbox One) with free shipping at BestBuy.com Today!
This is one of their featured 'deals of the day'."

The Xbox One exclusive, Sunset Overdrive, has been discounted to $44.99. Disney Fantasia also dropped to $29.99 on the Xbox One and $19.99 on the Xbox 360.
Keep the price drops coming, this holiday will be epic for new Xbox gamers (both new and old to the brand.) Seems my choice to wait was wise, sucks for those that paid $500+ on day one.
Are you kidding me xbox people? Only 4 days ago you could hey Fantasia for 20 exactly and now a week later it's a penny less? That really grinds my mangears. I feel shamboozeled over a penny.

Neil writes "Running alongside the usual Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is the Xbox Live Ultimate Games Sale. It's live now and contains an absolute shed load of discounted titles on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. But many of us don't have the cash to splash on the whole damn lot so which are the titles you really must borrow, beg and perhaps even steal for in order to get."
Lords of the fallen for me. Played/not interested in the rest. Had I not played most of these already there are quite a few games that are amazing deals.
Bought sniper elite this morning. Great game, and for a tenner I really can't complain!
Lords of the Fallen is not showing as a sale item at the moment for quite a few people if not all as of right now. So not sure whats up with that game and this sale, i dont even see the cover art for it just the title.
Did they ever fix the multiplayer for Master Chief Collection? If not I'll probably just pick up Lords of the Fallen. At that price I can't pass it up.
Personally, I would have picked up Kinect even if it didn't come with the console (only if the price was right mind). I've had the Xbox One since launch and using Kinect to turn on the console and to open apps has been very useful.
I went with the camera for the PS4 and would probably have done the same if the choice was there on day one. You know, just in case :)
Kinect is a great tool, but forcing the price of their package up with supplementary hardware that iterates on something already designated as such in the last console generation was a massive blunder, particularly given the very reasonable and significantly lower price Sony were sending their machines out at. If Microsoft was ever to avoid getting egg on its face with this, more efforts should have gone into subsidising developer engagement with the hardware.
