Reports suggests that DESTINY was worth $500 million to develop.. Man!, that's a huge sum of money..

I loved playing The Old Republic, it was like having 8 games in one. That said, I'm pretty far past paying $15 a month for a game, so I stopped a couple of months after release. I haven't felt like pushing any of my characters past the old level cap since it went F2P.

Does the 500 million cover only this first game or all the games within those 10 years?

The writer failed. Completely failed.

He puts Destiny at number 1. Now, if he considers that price for what Destiny is, then WOW should have been at number 1 or at least 2. Why? That's where he fails. Utterly fails. The cost for Destiny is for their decade long multi-generation commitment. Not a game, a time frame. If he accepts that, then he has to accept WOW at the same time, and WOW has been just as expensive over it's lifetime.

$500,000,000?! Is this real life? Are these even games anymore?!

At this price Destiny is set up to fail. There is no way in hell this game will sell enough copies to return the investment.

So mnany Rockstar games on that list... and yes, it will be interesting to see how well that $500 million budget for Destiny will bode in regards to the quality of the finished product.

GTA VI when it's released) will probably cost more than double of what GTA V cost to make but let's not get ahead of ourselves, if GTA V doesn't get released on PC then IV will have been the last game in the franchise that I played. Although I'm a massive fan of the GTA series I have no intention whatsoever of getting any console just to play it. I've got better things to waste my money on.
