So they ae going to be working together to some extent.

Being on a panel together doesn't mean working together.

It will be interesting but if 3d made people sick and TV up close is bad for your eyes then what safety and sales issues will such a device bring?

Personally, it's a fun novelty buy not sure if a vr is a game changer in this day and age.

Actually i was watching one of those scientific shows that mythbust common beliefs, and to my surprise they claimed that sitting close is not the cause of eye problems, its only correlated with it. It does however, along with the amount if time spent lead to eye strain.
Regarding 3D, wait till you experience VR, its nothing like 3D.

Ginger has been proven to help with motion sickness so that might help as you're adapting to VR, like getting your 'sea legs.'

One of the VR's I read about said that it "fools the eyes" into relaxing and thinking things are really far away so your eyes aren't strained. With a monitor my eyes can get bloodshot depending on the distance and how long I play, combined with not blinking as much (which is common).

I went to an eye doctor that used mirrors for eye tests in small rooms so I assume it would help to have a mirror in a corner of your room that you can look at for 30(?)secs every X # of minutes to give your eyes a break so they can relax looking into the 'distance.' I just hope they fix it so you don't have to turn your neck too far and hard too often, that might cause problems.

Cool info.
I cracked up about the moving your neck fast part. I think that would be an issue when playing survival horror games for me /:

Well if you want your gaming experience to be more immersive, then this is the way forward. My main concern is the price point of this tech. If they don't get it right, then the market will be virtual.

Pretty cool interaction coming up!

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2139d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
