IGN: Mass Effect PC Review

It almost goes without saying that BioWare remains one of the very top single-player RPG makers on the planet, and Mass Effect only reinforces their position. This is easily one of the best RPGs on the platform in recent years, delivering a terrific new universe, a fun blend of action and role-playing, and a deeply satisfying story. If you have any love of science fiction or space opera, then you owe it to yourself to check it out. There are hours upon hours of joyful discovery here, and an undeniable love for science fiction, as well.

I will be on torrents searching for this :)

Go ahead and do that despicable act... stealing from developers...

jamilion6549d ago

but to say that no one here has never downloaded a game or gotten music illegally is just a big fat lie. People these days do a lot of "despicable" things. People share download on PSN (map packs), half of the servers on CoD are cracked, millions and i mean MILLIONS use limewire.
Dont get me wrong, i am by NO MEANS justifying illegal downloads, i was being a bit sarcastic cause i really dont play PC games anymore my comp isnt good enough.

ktchong6549d ago

You can only get the expansion (for free) when you register the game.

pimpstation6549d ago

Cool, they fixed all those technical issues.

GiantEnemyCrab6549d ago

Been enjoying it for the past year on the 360. Any Sci-Fi/RPG fan should really pick this game up.

Whoooop6549d ago

Do I need a mega rig for this game?????

Too lazy to check for requirements..

livespawn6549d ago

may pick it up. seems like they fixed some of the texture pop-ins and such which riddled the 360 version. good game overall though.

I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed

Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.

toxic-inferno176d ago

I feel the same way.

I mean, how difficult would it be for them to release SOMETHING of substance? Another short trailer? A couple of proper hints? A short story set during the original trilogy, but focused on fringe characters?

Hopefully they're working so hard on the game that they don't have time. But still, with every passing year and so little to show, the franchise will be slipping further and further from people's minds.

Profchaos176d ago

Yeah agree it's almost a cop out since Dev times are 5 to 10 years just throw out a few seasons instead you get them done in a year

jznrpg176d ago

I still haven’t beat Andromeda. I am waiting for a lull of good games in my backlog

P_Bomb176d ago

So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?

Rebel_Scum176d ago

Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

Good games but no Phantasy Star?

merlox1071d ago

Why do people forget Phantasy Star? That is one of my favorite RPG series. Another ther good but overlooked series is ,Y's.

anast1071d ago

ES3 set things off, it's a shame they got greedy and decided to cut corners so the executives could get huge pay days.
