The game takes classic top-down shooter action and expands upon it nicely, making this one 800 MS point download that is well worth the investment, regardless of its flaws.
Assault Heroes 2 invites players to assume the role of a stereotypical space marine sort of character, then jump into a heavily armed off-road vehicle and traverse a variety of battlefields, blasting the bejesus out of anything that moves. For some quick, nostalgic, arcade shooting action, this game gets the job done.
The focus is mainly on vehicular combat; the game serves up trucks, tanks, helicopters, and mechs on a silver platter for the player to commandeer during each and every stage of the assault. However, these modes of transport will only hold up so long under the heavy fire that your enemies are sure to rain upon you, and could almost be considered large and extravagant mobile suits of armor. After absorbing enough damage, even the mightiest of tanks will shatter like an eggshell, leaving the player to fend for him- or herself on foot.''

xbox is killing it with backwards compatibility. but they'll STILL find a way to downvote any xbox-positive comment into oblivion. N4G is completely infested with Sony fanboys lol smh
While I agree with your comment about BC being a great thing, I downvoted you because of your fanboy comments about Sony. I own both the XB1 and PS4 and enjoy both of them, and really appreciate that MS has worked so hard to bring 360 games to the XB1.

@ Razzer: i'll just say something like "phil spencer is doing a great job" & it'll have 50 downvotes for no reason... if somebody says "Phil Spencer, more like FAIL Spencer... amirite?" it will have 50+ upvotes & top comment. if you're pro-xbox, commenting on N4G gets annoying after awhile. you already know what people's opinion is going to be. PS4 = good. / XB1 = bad. no matter what good xbox does, its never good enough for them. it got so bad to the point where i had to address it. so i did.

Sure, multiplayer is fun, but where do you turn when you and your friends don't want to shoot and chase each other around a map? Leviathyn.com's Blake Anglin gives us a list of great co-op games you and your buddies can jump into when you're needing a break.
... cause it's also enjoyable for my crappy playing girlfriend, although we aren't very far yet, and haven't unlucked new characters.
I might pick up Guardian Heroes once that goes down in price and if I like the demo.
i got my GF into Dead Nation and after that we jumped in to resistance 3..we do need to find somethin new cause im tired of MW3 survival mode so ill have to check some of these out.
Early this morning, OnLive added 4 new games to their growing library of titles. Avernum: Escape From the Pit, Crazy Machines: Elements, and T.E.C. 3001 have been added to the OnLive PlayPack. Assault Heroes 2 has been added as a stand-alone PlayPass title.
