Edge Preview: Don King Presents: Prizefighter

Edge writes: "A new contender enters the ring. Will Don King's hot air be enough to win the fight?

While 2K is holding Don King as the name that will carry Prizefighter, the name that overshadows it is Fight Night: Round 3 (and its recently announced follow-up). For many, EA's sweat-flecked up-close-and-beautiful ode to the cinematic ideal of boxing profoundly reinvigorated the genre, and it remains a visual benchmark that, right now, Prizefighter falls some way short of matching.

But for executive producer Matthew Seymour, who with Top Spin created a serious match for the likes of Virtua Tennis, and steered Amped 3 from its predecessors' dry precision to being deliriously playful, FN3 may have been beautiful, but it was also shallow. "It's bullshit that it redefined fighting, and it's time to move on," he says, criticizing its failure to utilize 3D space, its "terrible" career mode, and its unrealistically slow analogue movement."

No one talks about the last place inferior console....just like all websites show the Xbox 360 box on all multiplatform games...just like 99.9% of multiplatform games run better on the Xbox 360 than the last-placetation 3.
