Yeah, I had enough after the first one and all the DLC, which was almost another complete game in itself.

MysticStrummer4405d ago

It's funny because I thought BL2 was better in most ways but I had no urge to buy the DLC, while I bought all the first game's DLC.

It's funny, I tell ya.

Mutant-Spud4405d ago

Yeah I loved the first game it was groundbreaking at the time and I must have played through it half a dozen times but the second didn't grab me at all, the loot system just seems broken to me compared to the first.
Plus the first game was a far more screwball type of story and you were mainly fighting outlandish monsters and insane bandits not boring robots.

Jonny5isalive4405d ago

I had the first and second one and none of the DLC. I would probably buy this new moon one if it was on ps4. I sold my ps3 and 360 and am getting a ps4 soon. DOnt feel like paying 60 for a last gen version when there should be, probably will be, a ps4/one version. Id get it on PC but my laptop only runs diablo 3 ok.

Christopher4405d ago

Then don't buy it.

At least it's not an annual CoD or the like.

Is this article seriously complaining about the immense content support given to us by Gearbox?

Really?

nope1114405d ago

I retired Borderlands 2 after the amazing Tina DLC and reaching lvl 61 with 3 classes.
Now with the Pre-Sequel announcement my urge to play the series has been renewed!
The new classes, cryo element, lazers, and zero-g environment will definitely add a different experience to a long time Borderlands player such as myself.

I'm excited.

ironfist924405d ago

I have a feeling Pre-Sequel is the appetiser for Borderlands 3

nope1114405d ago

Yep. A filler game like Arkham Origins, which i enjoyed very much.

MasterD9194405d ago

I love Arkham Origins. I'll probably enjoy BL 1.5 too.

But yes, these games are series fillers. It's cheaper for a developer to put out games like these, and it appeases fans who are dying to see another game.

However, to most, this looks like a cheap way of saying "hey Borderlands 3 isn't ready yet, so here is this game we've been secretly working on instead!"

If you are real fan, you will give them what they want.

Amazon Prime members can get over 40 Steam Deck-compatible games for free right now

42 Steam Deck-compatible games that you can get for free right now, but you'll need an active Amazon Prime subscription for most of them.

Inverno605d ago

I've noticed when I was still paying for Prime that those supposed free games they give through Epic are just free games epic gives without the need of Prime. Rugrats is in the list in the article and it's available to get without Prime so that's pretty shady on Amazon's part, or maybe it's Epic being scummy.

TheNamelessOne605d ago

Tales from the Borderlands (the original, good one), Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Borderlands the pre-sequel, Borderlands 2, Loop Hero, Trek to Yomi, Greedfall, Shadow of Mordor, Hard West 2, Figment 2. Some great gets there.

__y2jb605d ago

Amazon never give steam codes away so the steam deck link here is silly unless you are modding and installing epic launcher.

Kyizen605d ago

Yeah I get a ton of free games on epic, It works but having to launch the Epic browser and games though it is pain vs just using the Steam deck OS. Once the game is running no issue though,

FinalFantasyFanatic605d ago

They give away quite a few GOG versions of games though, I suppose you can just slap those onto your Steam Deck (I've done this), although it's not always ideal.

__y2jb604d ago (Edited 604d ago )

You can but it’s a pain to launch them and doesn’t it require installing windows?

FinalFantasyFanatic603d ago

You don't need windows, personally, I just download it on PC, then transfer it to the Steamdeck via network sharing or USB stick. Then you add it to the Steamdeck as a "non-steam game" like you would if you were using a PC. The only downside is if you play the game on both PC and Steamdeck, you'll have to manually transfer save files.

Supposedly you can use Hero launcher or something, but I can't seem to get the games to work after download it via GOG on Steamdeck. So manually transfer it is for me.

I Sure Hope The Next Borderlands Is A Lot Like Borderlands 2

Ahmad from eXputer: "Borderlands 2's unrivaled storytelling is something that has to lean into the core elements of the next iteration in the Borderlands series."

TheNamelessOne639d ago

What? You didn't love the cringe writing that 3 had?

pwnmaster3000639d ago

Playing it now and it’s not so bad, but I’ve just started so maybe it will get worse

DustMan638d ago

It's not bad. It's just hard to top Handsome Jack as an antagonist. I really enjoyed 3. It has the best gameplay of the entire series, and it holds the same vibe. Tiny Tina's Wonderland was a huge disappointment to me.

Demetrius638d ago

I recently finished 3, definitely had fun fr

-Foxtrot639d ago

I'm curious how they are going to do the Siren since they've kind of wrote themselves into a corner regarding the lore.

gold_drake639d ago

well, im sure the last eridium slab is the answer to that. either mystery or villain

-Foxtrot639d ago

I meant more in terms of how they established only 6 Sirens can exist in the entire Universe...which was kind of silly to me as they seem to all end up on Pandora, and the Universe is a pretty big place.

Then there's now the fact, since Borderlands 3 retconed it, when a Siren dies she can transfer her power to the next Siren, they don't have to be born with it. This also means there's only 6 Siren powers which will end up being recycled as the franchise goes on.

Phasewalk (Lilith)
Phaselock (Maya / Ava)
Phasetrance (Amara)
Phaseshift (Angel / Tannis)
Phaseleech (Tyreen)

So there's only one power unaccounted for and I'm guessing it belonged to Commandant Steele. There was Queen Dido but she died and someone else like Amara, Maya or Angel could have gotten their powers so really it only gives them one more Siren before they need to start rethinking things going forward.

Either we get Phaseleech next or whatever power Commandant Steele had (kind of odd she never used it in her boss fight but you know).

Terry_B639d ago

inb4 the next siren is a trans character.

gold_drake639d ago

it will probably be alot like wonderlands, since that is the last borderlands game

but we'll see soon

Terry_B639d ago

Most people do. But the people that create the games don't seem to understand that.

I bet it will be even worse than BL3 when it comes to story and character designs.

RaidenBlack639d ago

Hey Gearbox, remember Brothers in Arms?

Abnor_Mal638d ago

I would love a new game in the series, or a remake/remaster of the first three games.

RaidenBlack638d ago

I'd want them to do the 4th part and just end the story of Baker Company.
